"I was sleeping when he came in and grabbed me by the throat trying to kill me" I say with my eyes lost in the space. Suddenly my parents come into the room. "Mom! Dad! What are you doing here?" I ask shocked.

"The headmaster just called us so we came to see how you were!"

"Today the monster that attacked you is called Legend Killer. Once his sick mind ruled what remained of this poor world. Armies of warriors gathered to kill him, but his strength was not comparable to ten thousand.

The only thing that allowed us to stop him was to exile him in a parallel dimension though, unfortunately, a few months ago he managed to free himself and wants to regain his powers"

"What does that mean?" asks my father doubtful.

"When we exiled him, we managed to divide his powers into six parts but there was an accident before we could isolate each part" he continues, stopping momentarily while revising the speech. "One of our soldiers managed to take possession of those six fragments but lost them, and they were scattered into the world. In short... The fragments chose their owner and now there are six more powerful wizards than others! We call them 'chosen ones' and I think Yuma is one of them. I suspect it because the Legend Killer attacked you"

I stare at him without saying anything as Mum and Dad endure from panicking.

"Excuse me!" says a woman followed by a man entering the room. I look at them better and, strangely enough, I sense to recognize them.

"What does that mean?" I ask upset.

"We can’t take you back to them. We can’t even warn them by saying you’re alive or that you exist... We will be forced to give you up for adoption because we can’t keep you here forever"

I take the photo in his hand and put it in my pocket. I’m only four years old and don’t understand anything about what’s happening; I merely know I can’t go home. Tears are rolling down my face. I feel lost as never before. What shall I do now?

End flashback

"Yuma are you listening?" the principal asks, bringing me back from my memories and returning to glance at them. "We were saying that Ice’s parents were part of the surveillance army and helped us maintain order all this time. Now they will assist us in finding the other five chosen ones. We would like to ask you if you are willing to collaborate with us!?"

Ice’s parents, huh? It’s not possible... So he would be... Oh my gosh, I’ve had him around all this time and didn’t even notice! What great news! I’m so happy to have found my whole family again! I think with immense delight, even if I don’t demonstrate it to the people present.

"Yuma, are you feeling well?"  asks the woman who came into the room just before, and has no idea who she is talking to.

"Yuma!" my mother woke me.

"Of course, I will help you" I whisper with a faint voice.

"Azel! Do you like this dress?" she asks me, pulling out an excessively short dress.

"Do as you please! Everything looks good on you" I reply indifferently.

"Ah! Can I learn what I have to do to get your attention?" she asks coming to sit next to me.

"I have already explained how things are" I reply, increasing the distance between us.

"What game are you playing?" she asks amused.

"No game! I’m leaving because I have to do other things" I reply indifferently and get up. Before I leave, she grabs me by the wrist and forces me to look at her.

"I don’t understand you! Yet I thought you liked the first time" she whispers as she approaches me.

"Nick I’m pretty confused. I don’t know what to think..." says Yuma with a hint of sorrow.

"Azel has a very particular character, but if you like him you should try!"

"But what if I see him every moment in Alexa's company?"

"Maybe he’s afraid"

"Azel is not that kind of person!"

"What’s he like?"

"He is sweet as much as ruthless; he is perverse as romantic; he is strong and not fooled by anyone; he is selfish as much as caring. He doesn’t know how to give because he never received it, but if there was a way to break down the wall he built to defend himself, I believe I would get right to his heart and not leave him for any reason. I would keep him as the most important thing, as the treasure is hidden in the depths nobody can see because it's too precious. He would be mine and no one else’s!"

"Yuma you’ve made a mess! I don’t think Azel will ever be able to feel all this for you"

I notice his eyes fade at those words. I didn’t think anyone could have such affection for someone like me but, despite everything, I can’t let him into my world. I can’t let him know what I feel every day.

I hate my being and if I cannot accept myself how can I expect others to do it? I have a crazy mind that doesn’t want to hear reason and I can’t let her ruin Yuma or anyone else who thinks I’m good. I have to make sure that he hates me because I would end up destroying everything in my usual ways and then I would suffer again feeling guilty with myself.
