The honeymoon periods of every relationship are the closest thing people have to a fairytale in real life. When you always want to be around each other when you are fully content spending an entire weekend in each other’s arms, showering each other with affection when you stay up all night talking, when you are clingier than a koala at a petting zoo.

Rayan and Aliza however spent their honeymoon period enacting the honeymoon period of a fictional couple for their movie, so they were basically getting paid to be in love with each other, and when you thought it couldn’t get any better it just did, because they spend this time travelling across the world to the most romantic spots around the world, so most of their days included packing up early in the morning and leaving for the airport together, having people surround them for pictures as they rushed to catch the flight, it was routine for Rayan to watch Aliza fall asleep on his shoulder during long flights, it was routine for Aliza to share all her meals with Rayan and having him feed her. It was routine for them to sneak out after a long day of shooting for spending some quality time together. They walked the streets having cotton candy, went shopping at small street shops, ran away from fans laughing and waving at them as they mobbed them while they were riding back home after their shoot, went on ferry rides where he watched her eyes shimmer through her covered face as she leaned on the railing as the wind blew on the scarf around her face.

If they didn’t believe in fairytales, it was okay because they were living one and it didn’t have a huge palace a huge ball gown or a crown, but it sure did have the fairytale love half the world always craved for and that was more than enough.

It was one of those days they were curled up in a blanket while they sat on a bench in the balcony of their hotel room watching the snowy mountains while the radio played soulful music as Aliza held onto her cup of coffee as Rayan took out his candy bar to dip in tea as usual.

“Our schedule ends in a few weeks apparently the final parts of the scripts just came in” Aliza said.

“Already? I was starting to get used to this” Rayan said.

“These past few days have been amazing huh?” Aliza asked as Rayan fed her a piece of chocolate, she loved to feed everyone around her, but he was the only person who would feed her always.

“So, I have been meaning to talk to you about something” Rayan began as Aliza listened to him intently. “I met up with your friend Jiya a while ago and I kind of told her that I would do this movie with her”

“Jiya why Jiya? You know she has a reputation of making the life of her co starts hell, right?” Aliza was kind of confused why Rayan wanted to do this. Yes, she was friends with Jiya she wanted to help her out, but she also knew that nobody wanted to work with Jiya for a reason.

“It’s just harmless PR” Rayan scoffed.

“PR or not I don’t think I am comfortable with seeing dating rumours about my boyfriend with another women”

“I thought of that too but I looked over the script and as it turns out we aren’t romantic interests in the movie so she cannot do a romantic linkup rumour it won’t make sense besides the script is pretty good, but I won’t do it if you don’t want me to” The prospect of not doing this film wasn’t appealing to Rayan it was a big budget film from a well-known well respected studios.

“No, no you should definitely do it you sure seem interested in it, when are you going to be filming this?” Aliza asked warming up to the idea of him working with Jiya.

“Well, I have to finish of the film with Rosie so right after that I pretty much don’t get any say in my schedules I have to be available for them whenever for a year or two you think we could manage that?”

“But you will be out of town for months for your next film and I will be out of town for my next film for quite a bit too so once we wrap up this film that means-”

“We won’t be seeing each other for quite a bit”

“Unless-”

Aliza began before Rayan cut her off as he turned to face her and held her hands.

“Don’t Aliza don’t say it, don’t even think about it you are not pulling out of your film”

“The contract isn’t final, yet I could still do it”

 “Aliza khan you are too good to compromise your dreams for a guy”

“it’s not a big deal”

“It is a big deal, you are the only person other than me who wouldn’t ditch your dreams for the world you are the kind of person who would ditch the world for your dream and that’s what I love the most about you, you have wanted this ever since you were little and I know what that’s like because I have dreamt of this ever since I was little you gave up a high paying job a comfortable life and a well respected post to come here get hated by everyone pick up work below your paygrade and work a thankless job because it was your dream there is no turning back now especially not for me, I wont let you do that I should be the torchbearer for your success and not the one who delayed it”

“But we just started dating I don’t want to mess things up”

“We won’t I will come visit you and you will come visit me its for a little bit, we got this” he cupped her cheek.

“We got this” She smiled as she held him tight.
