Rhythm was fixing his hair ...

"Do I look good ? " He asked

"No " August replied

Rhythm pouted ... August shook his head "you know you look pretty still you ask me "

"I need some validation" Rhythm said flipping his hair

"You're beautiful" August commented

Rhythm scoffed "you look average today "

He looked outside and whispered "but hot "... August chuckled at his cuteness...

As they reach their college... Rhythm quickly got down from his car and rushed inside

"Am I his driver ?" August asked

"Baby...!! " Ron exclaimed "why didn't you pick me up ?"

Now August knew Rhythm didn't want to mess with this idiot so he ran away

"Why did you bring him with you ?.. you didn't even pick me up... I messaged you many times"

Ron said folding his hands... August ignored him and went inside but Ron held his hand

"Why are you ignoring me?... You've never been like this... But since that slu- "

August pushed him

"I've already tolerated you a lot but I won't listen a word against Rhythm... Look i know you don't have a liking towards me... You're doing this  because you want to win against Rhythm "

"What are you say-"

"I'm not finished yet... I'm not a part of competition or any trophy that you're fighting for... I'm a person I've a heart ... i like someone else " .... August declared

"August if you like him... I'll try to be like him... I'll change myself ... I'll wear clothes like him... Dress up myself like him" Ron said his voice tearing up

"You can never be like him.... he's rare....And even if you try to be like him .... I don't think I'm not going to love you.... You're not my type ... We're not meant to be together never"

August finally concluded and went inside... Ron cried hearing this .... He was heartbroken

"Everyone... Everyone likes him... My pa... Teachers... Friends and now even August... He's a witch" Ron cursed Rhythm

August went to Rhythm who was sitting with Eddy and win .... And they were enjoying programs...

"Hey... " Eddy shouted at August

August sat beside Rhythm and Rhythm exclaimed “after this I'm going to perform... I'm so nervous "

August pat his head... "Why are you nervous.. you've already won in a lot of competition... This is only a welcome event..."

"I know but I prepared myself for this in a day.... I didn't get much time... I'm afraid if I mess up ... Everyone will laugh at me "

August Caressed his face” no one will laugh at you and I know you'll win the award today ... Don't think much and give your best "

And the next participants is Rhythm - the host announced

"All the best "August said Patting his hair

Eddy and win wished him too but win stopped him

"Hey take my guitar... Don't take this " he said "it's old and broken everyone will make fun of you "

Rhythm looked at his old guitar and Win’s new guitar

"It's alright... I'll play with it ..." Rhythm hurriedly went to the stage

"No... Don't go " Eddy tried to stop him but he went anyway

As he went on the stage with his old guitar everyone laughed at him and started mocking him

"Have you came from the slums ?" One student shouted

“, he's so uncultured... "

They started mocking him and then they commented on his clothes

"See his clothes "

"He's a Beggar " They commented

"Why didn't you stop him ?" Eddy said to August

"He'll overcome it... I believe him " August said confidently… he  looked at Rhythm and felt that Rhythm was feeling uneasy he got up

"Rhythm .." he called

"Don't listen to them... The magic lies in the eyes of the beholder... They don't know your struggles and talent but you know yourself and your capabilities.... These fuckers are influenced by external and materialistic beauty but you... You're different than all of us... Just play don't think about this "

Rhythm was still perplexed whether to play or not but then he looked at August clapping for him... There were people mocking and laughing at him but he could only see August cheering and clapping for him.. the room was crowded but he could only see August... He could only hear August... He started playing and singing..

As he sung everyone went silent... And they could hear  a sweet voice... The voice was too pleasant that none of them spoke a word..his voice felt like honey...so unique and addictive....it looked like an angel from heaven was singing the song....Rhythm looked at August and sang a love song ... August was smiling the whole time.... And when Rhythm played the guitar it sounded beautiful.... Everyone clapped and cheered for him but he was only smiling at August.... And when he completed his song.... Everyone stood up cheering for him

"His voice is so sweet "

"He's straight from the books"

"He's very talented"

The people who were mocking him were now praising him ... Rhythm happily came down the stage .. and hugged August... August stood there as a status

"Thank you... Thank you August" he said

August still couldn't Believe that Rhythm hugged him... "Thank you " Rhythm said again but when he realised what he did...he separated himself from August and stood awkwardly

"I... I'm going to the bathroom..." He said

August nodded and Rhythm went to the bathroom... August felt like his legs were jelly... He sat on the chair and exclaimed

"First .. hug... Rhythm hugged...me he hugged me "

He covered his face with his hands ...

"I captured the moment " win whispered in his ears...

August looked up and win showed him a picture of Rhythm hugging August

"My dream of an ultimate bl fanboy is going to be true " Win giggled

"What are you talking about?" August asked unbothered

"I've been shipping you both since first day... " Win said

"Shipping?" August asked

"Yeah... Shipping... You know like famous bl celebrities... Their fans ship them together" win said

"you're delusional " August said

"Then you don't want this photograph right" win said

"No .. " August said

"Then I'll keep it for myself " win pretended to keep his cell phone  in his pocket but August stopped him

"No.. Send me the photograph... " August said

"I didn't hear what you said " win scoffed

"Send me the photograph " August said

"You're lacking manner and please " win commented

Eddy took his cell phone  from his hand

"Hey what are you doing?" He shouted

"August hold him " Eddy ordered

August held win tightly and Eddy opened his screen lock and send the picture to August

"You know my password " win asked shocked

"I know everything about you " Eddy mocked

Rhythm came in a few minutes and they all settled down again .... After sometime August performed a rocking performance... everyone applauded him... Win and Eddy performed a contemporary dance form...

"Now it's the time to announce Mr fresher "-  key announced

"You'll be Me fresher" Rhythm whispered to August

"And the winner is August " key announced

Everyone clapped for him including Ron... Rhythm and Eddy were cheering for him when he got on the stage... Key put a crown on August's head and gave him a batch

"Ladies and gentlemen... We've our Mr fresher for the year 2024 "

Everyone applauded him and Rhythm took pictures of August... He returned back to his seat... And everyone congratulated him

"Now the star performer of the evening... "

"You'll win this .. " Eddy said congratulating Rhythm

"But I've heard the jury is biased..

They'll give the prize to Ron " sun commented

"I'll be happy if he won " Rhythm said smiling

"Of course ... Losers always say such words... " Ron commented

August Glare at him but Rhythm ignored his words...

"And the winner is ... Rhythm" may announced

Eddy and win did a winning dance mocking Ron who was fuming in anger... August congratulated him and Rhythm was called to the stage...

"Congratulations son... You're very talented" Sean congratulated him and gave him a trophy
