As soon as they were gone, Alma-Raphael crossed the road and went through the bar's door "Aze?" A big yawn came from upstairs "oh, there you are."
The archangel went up and found her wife on the sofa looking at the TV
"Hello, starlight…" The demon smiled lazily.
"Hello yourself." The archangel sat next to her "Why didn't you come greet Nat and Violet with me?"
"Honestly?"
"Yeah, honestly."
"I realized I wasn't in the mood to be Esther in the middle of getting my hair done" Azazel explained as she pointed at her half finished hairbun "Sorry, I’m just a little tired today, and socializing-"
Raphael shut her up with a big kiss on the forehead "It's totally fine, my love" she smirked at the lipstick mark that was left "No need to apologize. I get it."
She then layed down completely on the couch, taking Aze into her arms and manifested a blanket out of thin air. "Want to hear about what we talked about? I might have some great news~"
Aze melted in her wife’s embrace, a smile plastered on her face "Tell me every single detail.”
“Well first of all, we’re invited to a wedding!!” Raphael said excitedly with a squeal.
“Oh? About time.” Aze yawned once again, her eyes getting heavy.
“Says the demon who made me wait for decades.” Raphael protested while she started to fix her wife's hair.
“It was only one, you drama queen! I'm sorry for not saying I do after our first kiss as a couple.”
“You're a meanie.” The angel stopped the brushing to boop her nose, “A blue meanie” then went back to business.
“Thank you, I like blue” Aze kissed her neck “Are you going to give them a ridiculous overly grandiose gift?”
“It will not be ridiculous and it will not be grandiose! Something small, that's all” Raphael smiled… innocently; and while Azazel didn’t buy her wife’s act, her hands on her hair felt too nice to argue, so she just chuckled.
“So that means we'll have to search for something nice to wear and all that jazz?” The demon said a little bit annoyed by the future formalities she’d have to endure.
“Yes, but we have plenty of time for that. We can start when you get less grumpy or I can handle it for the both of us. I don't mind” The angel divided the dark strands in perfectly even sections, or as close to perfect from her current angle. “You're very handsome, so anything will look good on you.”
“Nah, you're right, I'm too tired to think about it right now. But I do like shopping with you” The demon closed her eyes.
Raphael was crossing the parts when she paused, “are you… going to sleep?”
“Just relaxing, don't worry” The demon reassured and snuggled a bit more “Continue whatever you're doing.”
The angel smiled and resumed her work until there was a nice little braid on the side of Aze’s face.
They cuddled on the sofa for the rest of the day talking about anything and content to just hold each other and give warmth while some cartoons played in the background. Raphael watched her demon get better, she was looking less tired
The archangel pressed a kiss to her forehead and made a silent vow. "I will take away all your nightmares and woes. We will return to the days where you slept peacefully, your rest undisturbed except by my voice when waking you up." Their foreheads met.
"I will make everything right for you," she promised.
