A pause from T during the holidays

Me: "My stomach hurts."
Father: "Again?"
Me: "Normaly I take medications, which makes me hungrier, roughly at the end of month. So I was eating away and now my tum tum hurts. The side effects are a deeper voice and growing a beard."
Father: "Yeah, every medication has side effects. My medication against high blood pressure is bad for kidneys and liver."
Me: "Terrible"
I'm not downplaying my father's trouble! i'd prefer not to wake up in the middle of the night to pee either.
