The sun peeks through the windows when Archer wakes up.
Today was the day that him and Kiel would tour a house that they had put an offer on the day before and then have lunch with with Realtor.
Archer stretches and gets out of bed putting on his best put together outfit, which is blue jeans and a plain shirt. He pulled his pants and shirt on before opening the door that connected his and Kiel’s room. Archer turns the light on and walks over to Kiel, who was still sleeping. Archer then yanked the blanket off the bed. Kiel squirmed and immediately woke up with a groan.
“Whyy,” He whines and sits up reaching for the blanket.
“It’s already 10 am and we need to be out of the house by 12,” Archer sighs and pulls the blanket further away from Kiel, waiting for him to get up.
“Get up now.”
Kiel groans once more before finally getting up and stretching.
“Bathroom,” Kiel extends his hand for Archer to lead him to the bathroom to wash up and get ready.
Archer takes his hand and walks to the bathroom. In the bathroom Kiel brushes his teeth as Archer does his hair and then he gets dressed in a crew neck and skinny jeans.
“Is this good enough?” Kiel tilts his head while he fidgets with the hem of his sweater.
“Yeah casual but comfy,” Archer smiles and brushes a strand of hair from Kiel’s eyes.
“Now,” He pats Kiel’s shoulders. “A light breakfast and then we leave.”
“Okay,” Kiel smiles softly.
Archer leads him out and then down the stairs to the kitchen island. He then grabs the precooked breakfast from the fridge, that was made by the cook and places it in front of Kiel.
“Its not much since we will be having lunch in a few hours but its enough to suffice hunger.”
“Got it,” Kiel sighs.
Kiel takes a fork that was handed to him by Archer and takes a bite of whatever was on the tray. On the tray was a single blueberry waffle with syrup and a banana. Kiel takes a few minutes to eat but soon finishes.
After some time Kiel and Archer eventually leave and meet Emily at the house. They walk inside and Emily starts talking about the houses pros and cons and even some of the history.
“Like you guys already know its one story so great for Kiel so he doesn’t trip at any time. It also has that spare room that you can use as an office or storage, whatever you want. And I guess you can paint the walls or hang pictures to make it more homey,” She states as they walk through the house.
“Yeah its super nice but has there been any more offers?” Archer asks.
“No none so far so if the two of you are able to sign off today its all yours, ”she smiles and Kiel speaks up softly almost not being heard.
“If we do sign off how long will it take to finalize the papers and make the house in my name?”
“It should take about three or two days and I heard from Archer about your parents and all, so you should have time to move in before they leave,” She answers.
“That should be enough time since they leave in about a month or two,” Kiel continues.
“Yeah its enough time and Kiel I really think this is the house,” Archer pipes in.
“Me too.”
“Alright then it’s settled. How about we go to lunch and sign some papers,” Emily speaks up very excited and bubbly. Archer chuckles under his breath as she talks.
The three of them walk back to the front door and wave before getting into their respective cars. They decided on a nearby restaurant and some time later they all walked in. They sit down at a small table and order drinks and food. Emily pulls out a folder full of papers for the house and sets them on the table.
“Alrighty there are quite a few papers for you to sign,” She moved one in front of Kiel and Archer. “This one is your title.”
Archer signs and helps Kiel sign.
“Your deed,” She slides another paper over and collects the title. They sign. She gives them a few more papers before she gives them a set of keys.
“Here are your keys this one is for the house and the other is for your garage,” She points to a brass key and a silver key.
Archer takes the key and puts it in his pocket as he speaks up. “Thank you…really. Just give me a call when the papers are finalized and when we can start moving in.”
“Yeah definitely,” Emily replies as she takes all the papers and puts them back in the folder before putting the folder in her bag.
“Now that that’s all done lets eat,” She smiles once more and sighs.
Archer helps Kiel eat and the three of them talk. They talk about overall life and what Kiel and Archer do for work.
“I’m so glad you guys were able to buy this house, it really does suit Kiel,” Emily smiles.
“Yeah he just needed something to start him off,” Archer nods as he continues watching over Kiel.
“Anyways I’ll leave you guys to lunch, I have a few other clients to meet for some other houses,” She stands up, swings her bag around her shoulder, and pushes her chair in.
“Yeah thank you again for everything. We will give you a call if anything comes up,” Archer smiled waves as Emily leaves.
“Well everything is complete. Are you happy?” Archer asks Kiel.
“Yeah I guess,” Kiel states a bit down.
“Kiel what’s wrong?”
“I’m just not used to being able to go out and do things, let alone buy a house and get a job,” He sighs.
“I understand but you will get used to it. I promise,” Archer states. “It’s just gonna be different now that you are allowed to do things without your parents.”
“Yeah you’re right,” Kiel takes a small bite of his food.
“It’s your life now so live it how you want,” Archer smiles and they continue eating peacefully.
