The morning came as the rain stopped. I was stiff from the uncomfortable sleeping position but glad the rain had stopped otherwise we'd have another delay in our journey. It was harder than usual to walk because of the muddy ground but we made do and I'll say this mother nature must have been on our side because it would only rain at night. Our routine continued for a few more days until we were just a day away. The night before we attempted to cross I was beyond nervous. This was it the moment we had worked so hard for these last couple of days, it had finally come. That night we all said a long prayer for our safety and for the fortune of a better life. Sleeping extra close to one another the slow breaths of the people and the sound of the night breeze while tightly embraced in my mother's arms whisked me to sleep........ honestly I wish I hadn't fallen asleep so early that night. I wish I had prayed a little harder for our safety. I wish I was a faster runner. I wish........ we were still together.
I'm very sorry ch11 took so long life just never seems to be less busy but I've decided to take the next 2 weeks off during this time I plan to write the rest of chapters. So if everything works out I plan to complete the book by Feb. 1 or by the latest Feb. 5. If you have any suggestions for book 4 let me know. An should I keep this writting style or go back to my old one?
Taking a risk his father abandons the gang he was forced into 10 years ago after his brother borrowed money and ran. But now their family must flee their home and cross the border to gain the chance of survival. Otherwise they will most certainly die. Will they be able to make it across? And if they do will they be welcomed?
