In a society where everyone is born with one of three strengths—Mind, Body, or Soul—Nix has none. Even his name is given to those born without strength.
His escape lies beneath the mountainside, in ancient ruins lost to time. But when he brings his best—and only—friend, Yle, to his hidden refuge, what should’ve been a quiet adventure turns deadly. A buried monster awakens. And in the aftermath, as blame and punishment fall on Nix, he meets a strange puppet that offers him a dangerous path forward—one that could change everything.
