“Haha, what can I say? Angels are popular with the ladies,” he said with great confidence. Tsuki sighed and looked towards the children. “Oh, you have customers.”

“...We,” the boy said simply. The other nodded.

“Uh…” Daitaro remained silent during the exchange, not knowing what he was witnessing. He had only come to see the cakes and perhaps try one, why did he have to go through this?

Masaru looked intrigued by the comment of the brunette who had arrived.

“So!” the boys looked at him at the tone of discovery he had used. “Do older boys also get kisses from older women? Our neighbor usually calls me ‘little angel’ and gives me kisses on the cheek too.”

At this statement, instead of laughing, Daitaro frowned, severely concerned by something.

“What…?” the brunette muttered completely lost. Tsuki remained silent before bursting into laughter, which the other did not find pleasant.

“Yeah, Matt thinks he’s an angel because of how often he is called that by older women,” Tsuki commented as he continued laughing.

“That’s not- Ah…” Matt scratched the back of his head before looking at Masaru without much sympathy. “So, are you going to…?”

Daitaro and Masaru wondered why the latter looked confused again about something.

“What’s wrong with you?” Masaru asked as he raised an eyebrow while the brunette seemed to be analyzing him.

“Makoto, right?”

“Uh… no, my name is Masaru,” the black-haired boy answered without understanding. Matt was silent for a moment before smiling with understanding.

“Who is Makoto?” Daitaro asked.

“Oh, it’s nothing, a relative has a baby with that name and-”

“Baby…” Masaru narrowed his eyes at the word before looking at his hands and turning to Daitaro. “Do I look like a baby to you…?”

“Yes,” Daitaro answered as if he was born to answer that question, however, seeing the green eyed boy’s displeased face he tried to compose himself. “But I don't understand why he would say that.”

“… Is that supposed to make me feel better?” the green-eyed questioned, experiencing a small identity crisis.

“Son, I meant son, ahaha…” he corrected. Matt cleared his throat. “So, are you guys planning to order something?”

“Well, if you want me to order something that bad…” Masaru checked the menu and looked at the cookies before looking at Daitaro. “Can I…?”

“Uh… I'd say yes, but we are already going to eat pancakes, so I’m afraid that so much sugar won’t let you sleep at night”

“Pretty please…?” Masaru asked, making a cute expression as he begged for the cookie.

“...!” Daitaro looked away with a strong blush on his face, this since he knew he was very weak to those eyes, so he made a great effort not to fall for his charms. “W-Why don’t you go get the ingredients for the pancakes instead? Or do you want to eat something now, even if it's not sweet?”

“Tch, almost” Masaru replied, his expression changing for a moment to one of annoyance and slight disappointment. “No thanks, if anything, whatever you buy, I'll eat it on the way home. Oh-”

The black-haired boy stopped after holding the cart and turned to look at Tsuki and Matt.

“See you later, Mr. Angel!” he exclaimed before leaving. Tsuki couldn't help but laugh again upon hearing the youngest, while Matt just stood there pouting slightly.

Daitaro watched Masaru leave before returning his attention to the menu. Matt watched the redhead with a playful smile.

“You sure have a strong brother complex for your brother, huh?” At the comment, Daitaro blushed again and refused to look at him. Tsuki instead looked at the brunette with curiosity.

“They are brothers?”

“...Well, from what I just heard it seems that way, am I wrong?”

Hearing that, Daitaro smiled slightly and nodded very pleased, as it was like a breath of fresh air to hear someone suggest their relationship instead of talking about how they don't look alike.

“I want a slice of strawberry shortcake,” he said as he pointed to the vanilla slice with a strawberry decorating it.

“Sure, eat in or take away?” Tsuki asked.

“Hmm… For here, please”

“Okay, Matt will bring it to you in a moment”

“What? Why me?” the brown-haired boy asked as Daitaro walked towards a table which was positioned next to a sort of partition made up of tall flower pots, he could hear in the background the way Tsuki and Matt 'argued'.

-If the cake is good I'll make sure to bring a slice to Daiki, he'll surely like that- he thought with the hope that his twin would be happy about the surprise cake.

“What are you even looking for in your camera?” he heard an unpleasantly familiar voice suddenly ask. The red-eyed boy looked to his side, noticing between the leaves a black-haired girl holding a camera, sitting in front of a dark brown-haired girl with a contrasting orange lock, whom he recognized as one of the people he least wanted to run into outside and inside the school.

Fortunately, thanks to the potted plant, the girls on one side couldn't see him unless they actively peeked, so he chose not to make any noise.

Maybe he could still stand up and get out of there before they saw him? Yeah, maybe he should…

“I want to show you the pictures I took on Friday of you-know-who!”

“What for…? You know damn well that I'm not interested in that boy.”

“Look, look, he looks as cute as ever!” the girl with the camera exclaimed excitedly as she showed the pictures to the other, who looked at the photos with clear disinterest.

“Why do you want so many pictures of him? I don't see the point, he's not someone interesting.”

“Come on, would you ask that even if you did that and they were of ‘him’?” At the question, the girl was left thinking.

“You have a good point, but I'd rather annoy the real one,” she commented before smiling at the sudden good idea she had had. “Hey, why don't you sell them? That way you would earn something while surely 'he' would get upset enough to amuse me”

“Sell them…?”

Daitaro looked furtively towards the girls' table, because he didn't think he could leave until he knew who the photos were of, because if the girl who wanted to sell them sounded so confident, then it was definitely something that concerned him.

Matt approached Daitaro with his piece of cake; however, when he noticed that the boy seemed very worried about the girls on the other side of the pot, the latter just left the slice on the table and left without saying anything. The redhead looked at Matt with curiosity, while the brown-haired just turned to look at him and winked as a sign of acknowledging what was happening.

The redhead looked incredulous; had the other misinterpreted something? However, his silence suited him anyway so he decided not to say anything to him.

“I would never do that, I want them for my collection! I can get you pictures of yours if you're interested”

“Nah, I have something much more valuable than that, besides… I've already decided that I'm going to marry him, so I couldn't see him any more than that, unless I had his head as decoration” hearing this, Daitaro looked at his cake without much enthusiasm. Why did she have to be so unpleasant?

“...My faith in humanity deteriorates when I'm with you” said the girl with the camera in a tone of disbelief and disappointment.

“I'm just joking, I mean I want him to be the father of my children” at the comment, Daitaro looked confused from one moment to the next. He knew that girls often talked about the future as if it were normal, but for 'her' to be the one to say it was…

“It's the easiest way to keep him from running away, or at least that's what my mom says,” she added.

“Your mom has some… strange ideas…, but I guess she's not wrong” said the girl with the camera in an unsure tone.

“...” Daitaro didn't know what he was hearing but he didn't think he could stand up and leave without them turning around so he just remained seated despite the uncomfortable topic of conversation.

“The sacred matrimony binds a man and a woman until death…” said the girl with the camera sounding really excited. “Such a romantic concept makes me want to play!” she added as she stood up and pulled out a small trumpet from her backpack.

“Hey, don't do that! I don't want to be kicked out of the store” the brunette stood up with no intention of continuing to talk to the other. “I better go, besides, I’m sure that those good for nothing haven't found what I asked for”

“Okay, although, wait!”

“What?”

“I hope you haven't forgotten our agreement” the brunette rolled her eyes upon hearing her.

“Didn't you listen to me when I said I'm not interested in him?”

“Erika!”

“I won't touch even one of his boring hairs or the divine wrath will fall upon me, can I go now?”

“Sure! Have fun” said the black-haired girl before admiring the photos on her camera again. The brunette glanced at where Daitaro was sitting, noticing how he gave her an expression of complete antipathy.

Without saying anything, the girl tangled her finger around her orange lock and smiled maliciously at him before leaving and walking towards the hallways.

Daitaro sighed completely uncomfortable by the exchange; however, seeing that the black-haired girl was still in the same place, he tried to peek in.

The girl, however, noticed the gaze on her, so she stood up with a lot of panic and nervousness to subsequently run away feeling very embarrassed.

“...” the redhead narrowed his eyes, feeling his mood completely sour. He hadn't seen who it was, but…, he would find out no matter what.
