Chapter 11 - Ambush

BEEEBOOOBEEEWEEEWOOOOO
The alarm repeated itself a million times, the sound ambushing Blake's ears, but it wasn't much for him. His own ears were already damaged from the point of a whip, guns, and brute force.
His main focus was to be somewhat useful for a cause. A purpose, like what she said. The more he replayed the conversations in his head, the more sense it made, and the more he felt like he might have something to live for.
As everyone ran to the equipment gear arena, they tried to put together the gadgets of their knowledge. In reality, the different combinations of gear were like a mix and match machine. Helmets, armor, arm armors, and leg armors, and then metal shoes.
"Ugh!"
Everything felt like a brick on each of Blake's weak limbs.
His body's immediate response was to collapse, the weight pressurizing on every bone and flesh of himself. You might think that as a slave, there would be weight lifting work that would have given a result of a muscular body. But that was far from the truth, because he was severely malnourished and it would be surprising if chicken could be stringed from him.
Everyone around him was holding up the armor just about fine, some struggling, but none of them at the ground. Monos were born with the weakest archetype of biology. A simple 40 pound weight would crush them.
He started with small steps, lifting up the pillars of his leg, wobbling and pushing himself off the ground. He felt people step over him, his chest feeling crushed in the matter of seconds. Grabbing onto the floor, he yanked himself in the air. He stood, while the sea of soldiers guided him into the battlefield. The view became more clear when the sea spread out in different flows.
The Glitchers.
It was some weird black mysterious dark aura, like a solidified mist.
Trying to get an even more clear view of the monsters, he pushed the terrified people aside barely standing, like he was daring to look them in the eye. He wanted to know what happened to Abraham, he wanted to know it all. And inside his heart…
He wanted revenge.
His chest squeezed hard and his heart pulsed electrical, exploding his eyesight with bright flashes and colors. His jaw felt metal, his shoulders felt wood, and his hands felt wool. Right then at that moment, something familiar whispered in the back of his head.
A̷̱̠̬̞͐̔̆̇͑̓̎͗́̈́͋͝ ̶̡͖̈́͐͐̆̑̐̋͋̓͆̄̔̀͌͌l̶̲̘̆͛̈e̸͚̹̬͍̠̰̟͓̥̚ͅͅā̶̧̡̰̻̖̫̮̣̼͚͚̯̩̬̿̅͛̎̈́̔̿̽̄͠͝p̵̡̧̡͈̣͈̘̠͔̥̗̃͂́̂ ̴̝͈̱̼̜̮͕̰̈́̆̓̒̕͜o̷̳̯̼͍̼͚̼̯̦͛̍̐̈̄̈f̶͚̻̣͂ ̸̢̨̗̜̬̙̟̹̠̟̪̈́͊̈́̊̀̓͌́́̏̇̏ͅͅf̸̡͍͍̜͓̹̒̋́̇̑̍͋̓̂̊̀͠à̸̰̳̐͗̃̄̌̃̈͐̕͘i̴̟̊͆͒̍͊̈́͘͘͘͝͝͠ť̵̖͕͚͔̥̘̮͎̗͍̰̅͗͊̏̇͒͐͛̈̔͘ͅh̷͓̜̙͈̖̤̳̙̳͎̫̜̐̈́.̶̨̨̣͙̖̹̺͑̌̔͑̾̿̂̂̊̀́̈́̊̿͘͜ ̷̛͙̹̖͑͛͛̇̿͗̐̃
Electricity jolted inside his hands and in a reflex, it automatically slammed the triangular button in the center of his suit, sending him flying in the air. "AAGH!" Blake let out a gasp of confusion and fear.
What was that? Who was that?! Every tendon in his skin pinched painfully with the armor.
For a few seconds, it was like the air around him had no gravity. His suit was the only agent pulling the boy's own weight skyward, the distance between him and the monster closed in.
This was when a sudden unknown anger surged through him.
An anger that he buried years ago, at the site of the Parol Station Glitcher accident....it was like the corpse of his rage was dug up with a trowel to come exposed to the hardened surface. Like a dormant volcano turning active from the hot magma rising upwards.
But why, the intense fury and hatred?
Even he did not know.
He just knew that this was his purpose. His opportunity to fulfill what Abraham would have wanted.
They will feel the pain.
They will feel the suffering.
You killed my purpose.
So I’ll kill you.
