The Rise of the Nations and the Continuous Cycle of Wars (300 - 2500) Era of Emptiness

The Century of Conflagrations (300 - 800)
The region that would come to be known as Laurexia was, during this period, a mosaic of kingdoms, tribes, and city-states in constant war. Irlem and Hítia, once fierce rivals, began to perceive a common enemy in external threats and, through the Treaty of Solmara (420), established a military alliance. In the centuries that followed, they fought together against various enemies, such as the mercenary clans of Daktari, and subjugated smaller peoples, consolidating themselves as the two dominant powers of the region.

Meanwhile, in the Saeri'zar desert, Cirus emerged as a rising power, unifying nomadic tribes and establishing vital trade routes for its survival. In the northwest, the Vilos, ever belligerent, launched incursions against Sacramar and the smaller states of the region. In response, the Sacred League of Gaetia was formed in 610, resulting in the defeat of the Vilos hordes at the Obelisk Pantheon Battle (645).

The rise of Cirus culminated in its first civil war (770-812), when tribal leadership was contested by a faction that sought to transform the society into a centralized empire. The war ended with the victory of the imperialists, who reorganized Cirus under the rule of a priest-king, promoting the unifying faith in Phoenix.

The Formation of the Great Powers (800 - 1300)
In the southern portion, Turus consolidated its dominance and unified its homeland under a militaristic theocracy based on the veneration of Sargitarius. The adoption of the Elfin Moral Law (885) marked a milestone, making Turus the first state to criminalize multi-species racism and xenophobia. At the same time, it waged battles against the coastal kingdoms and pirates of the Crown Islands of Aurea, consolidating its naval presence.

Between 1000 and 1250, periodic conflicts ravaged the archipelagos. The Cycle of Pirate Crusades (1030-1110) saw incessant warfare between the corsairs of Domim, the merchants of Laurexia, and the priest-warriors of Turus, creating a backdrop of legendary naval battles, such as the Battle of Tarsus (1098), where Domim's navy was devastated by the Light Fleet of Turus.

In the north, the frozen lands remained relatively peaceful, with the kingdoms of Ruzi and Loura avoiding external interference. However, Ieser, taking advantage of Nadir periods, regularly invaded the south of Turus, raiding coastal cities and religious sanctuaries.

The Domination of Cirus and the Birth of the Empire (1300 - 1800)
The Ciran Revolution began with the rise of Kekolen the Saerian (1345), who consolidated all nomadic tribes under his banner and initiated an unprecedented expansionist period. In less than a century, Cirus had defeated the Draak's, annihilated the intelligent and deadly arthropod colonies of the desert northeast of Saeri'zar, and marched to conquer Sacramar to the northwest.

The Cirus Conquest War (1450 - 1600) swept across the world, reaching the peninsula borders of Ieser and establishing brutal dominance over Florem. The brutality of Kekolen's regime led to the formation of the Great Crusade of the Alliance (1615), uniting Hictia, Irlem, Turus, and Domim against the Ciran Empire. The conflict reached its climax at the Battle of Dourmir (1678), where a combined force of tanks, magic, and infantry broke through Cirus's defenses. Kekolen was executed, and the empire fractured, plunging into the Second Ciran Civil War (1700 - 1750).

From this turmoil, Florem was born, a state forged in the horrors of the Ciran occupation, preaching an ideal of absolute freedom. Lora emerged as its ally and was founded by Florem, protecting the north from the remaining forces of Cirus and isolating Ruzi, consolidating its own dominance over the Arctic lands. In Sacramar, the Allied Federation of Gaetia was founded (1798), fortifying its borders against future Ciran threats.

The Century of Rivalries and the Second Crusade (1800 - 2500)
Tensions between Hítia and Florem escalated when Harley, a disputed region, declared independence and refused to cede the territories to Hítia, with Florem's approval (1870). Irlem, as compensation for its victory over Cirus, received islands belonging to Turus, consolidating itself as a maritime power. The following century was marked by the Race to the Strongholds (1900 - 2300), where several nations began aggressively expanding their territories by occupying ancestral precursor fortresses spread across the world. This period saw the dissolution of ancient alliances, such as the breaking of the pact between Loura and Florem, due to disputes over the Strongholds of the Inner Sea. In 2100, Florem annexed the Stronghold of Auris in Harley, provoking the fury of Hictia, which responded with a naval blockade, resulting in maritime skirmishes that lasted for decades. The situation culminated in 2211, when Hítia invaded Harley, leading to a direct conflict with Florem and Loura. The result was the defeat of Hictia, which lost its possessions on the island and saw its influence drastically reduced.

New Conflicts and Intrigues (2300 - 2890)
After Hictia's defeat in Harley, the nation, resentful, reorganized its forces and initiated new offensives against the island between 2350 and 2480. Despite intense resistance from Florem and Loura, some regions of Harley temporarily fell under Hictia's control, resulting in epic battles such as the Defense of Auris (2412), where Florentine forces, using technology found in the Precursor Strongholds, managed to repel a two-year siege. By the end of the 25th century, the war stabilized, and a treaty was signed, granting partial autonomy to some regions of Harley, but ensuring Florem's military presence.

Meanwhile, Turus launched a series of aggressive campaigns between 2500 and 2700, invading the kingdoms of Ying and Ku. Using a combination of military operations and political manipulations, Turus established puppet governments in these territories, turning them into vassal states. Resistance was fierce, with periodic insurgencies breaking out throughout the 28th century. Among the notable events were the Han'zir Rebellion (2633) and the Battle of the Jade River (2750), where local forces nearly succeeded in expelling Turus's troops.

At the same time, the Gaetian Alliance found itself embroiled in a prolonged war against Manjukua and the warlords of the border regions of a fragmented Cirus. The conflict, which began in 2720, had critical moments such as the Battle of Surlen (2789), where the Alliance made significant progress by capturing the enemy's capital. However, fragmented resistance and constant interference from external powers prevented a decisive victory, keeping the war in a bloody stalemate.

Meanwhile, the quest for knowledge within the Precursor Strongholds led to epic tales of surprising discoveries and awakened curses. Among the most notable stories was the Black Star Expedition (2601), where Florentine explorers accidentally provoked the watchers, who emerged from the strongholds and massacred the interior of Florem as invincible and lethal black creatures. Another impactful discovery was the Velk'ara Relic (2857), which revealed new mysteries about the origin of the precursor civilization that built the strongholds, sparking scientific and religious disputes over the control of this knowledge.

Thus, the period between 2300 and 2890 was marked by persistent wars, technological discoveries, and political conspiracies that shaped the global landscape before the formation of the rival blocs of the 30th century.

Meanwhile, Turus took advantage of the power vacuum in Cirus to expand its influence in the south of Gaetia, becoming the largest military power in the southern hemisphere. In response, the Northern Alliance (2900) was formed, uniting Florem, Loura, Irlem, and the Federation of the Allied Union of Gaetia against the growing power of the Sargitarius Pact, created by Turus.

In 2911, the Second Crusade against Cirus erupted after the discovery of its secret nuclear programs. The world united to prevent the rise of a new empire and a nefarious taboo, defeating Cirus and leading it to an irreparable economic devastation. The resulting collapse gave rise to multiple factions and a third civil war within Cirus (2987-present).

The next century saw the growing global polarization, culminating in the World Cold War (3039-present), where Turus and Hictia, the two dominant blocs, divided the world between the Sargitarius Pact (South) and the Northern Alliance (North). Cirus, fragmented between warlords, became a battleground for indirect disputes between the two powers.

The balance of power remains unstable. The South, with 2.4 billion inhabitants, challenges the North, with 1.7 billion, while the dispute over the Crown Islands of Aurea may be the spark for a total war. The future is uncertain, but the world prepares for a new conflict, the consequences of which could be catastrophic. Whoever conquers Cirus, indirectly, at this moment, will control the world.

I was so absorbed in the story told in this book that my thoughts and opinions ceased. Of course, it's a dense book, but I feel it holds value for my curiosity. Not that this will change my quiet life in the Serene Peaks interior, in a village of normal... very simple and lethargic people... Honestly, I hope I don’t stay here forever.

Sincere Appeal from the Writer:
Don’t drop out :( Please, if it’s not to your liking due to any technical problems or aspects in the narrative, such as a boring story, poorly executed writing, lack of depth, or superficial characters... Anyway, that sort of thing. In this regard, my request here is your help, whether in this or future chapters. I’m willing to hear any complaints or issues with the work I love to create. So, my request is that you comment to help me improve.

These chapters are primarily for world-building, and since I do this as a hobby for the story I imagined and wanted to create, I thought I’d detail everything as much as possible, always improving the story to make it the best I can build, whether by remaking or going back to earlier points before a change. This is not, for now, a commercial book series, and I don’t plan on making it one anytime soon. For me, at this point, feedback from readers is more important. I have big plans, but Heaven In Abyss has my commitment to be a deep conversation between me and you. With dilemmas and perspectives that dive into various philosophical lines, not one definitive truth.

Still, I have an emotional goal/thesis I want to pass on to the reader with this novel and use many feedbacks about the content I’m developing for that. Yes, I really want this project to succeed, but if I only have one reader, I’ll keep writing; Art for Art. It’s something I love to do, and therefore doesn’t depend on financial benefits or visibility — making it clear this could change, but I do this with principles.

Basically, that’s all I wanted to say. Help me, you just need to give your opinion.

What if you had lived a thousand lives and never found the one that truly mattered?

Forgotten by time, lost between eras and identities, a creature — once feared as a god — was condemned to be reborn endlessly, paying for crimes it no longer remembers. A punishment without a face. An unending cycle.

Until now.

In a final existence, he awakens in a new world: four suns burn in the sky, stars do not exist, and a blue mist veils the heavens like a curtain hiding the cosmos. Civilization stands at the edge of space, yet the past remains more mysterious than the future. Beneath the surface, colossal structures built by an extinct race defy the understanding of the living. Their secrets... untouched. Their guardians... awakened.

Kiel carries fragments of memories he can’t explain. Voices. Emotions. Flickers of a lost life. And as he tries to live like an ordinary person — in a world where science and magic intertwine like nerves — he finds himself surrounded by conspiracies, cold wars, and the echoes of a fate he may have never chosen.

But what truly matters?

Amid chaos, moral dilemmas, forgotten promises, and the love of a newfound family, he must discover whether he can become someone new… or if the past is only waiting for the right moment to awaken the monster that may become the next tyrant of Paradise.

Heaven In Abyss is a philosophical dive into a universe of mysteries, where power has a price — and life itself may be the greatest enigma of all.

No answers.
What truly matters?
Life is fleeting.
The infinite, unreachable.
And death?
Inevitable.
