Upon seeing Zeus, the Trio try to hide from the Carcharovoltus. Stera notices how beaten up Zeus is. From scars due to Toro's attacks to a limp sustained from the cave collapsing on him, Zeus looks to be worse for wear. The Trio watches as Zeus begins to feast on the body of the Pachyrhinotremus. As the Trio tries to sneak away, Leonne accidentally steps on a twig he didn't see. The sound of the snapping twig gets Zeus' attention as he searches for the source of sound. Zeus approaches the Trios location as he searches for them. That is when Stera notices something about Zeus. His left eye is missing, leaving blind on one side. Just then, an idea sparked in Stera's head.

Stera quietly summons her vines and grabs a rock before chucking it aside. Upon the rock hitting the ground, Zeus goes to inspect the source of the noise, thinking his target had moved from behind him. While he is looking away, the Trio use this opportunity to leave the scene. With the Trios fears confirmed, the Trio makes a beeline back to the herd to warn them of Zeus' return. At least they know that Zeus isn't in the best condition. As Zeus returns to feasting on the Pachyrhinotremus, he notices the footprints left behind by the Trio. Once Zeus finishes his meal, he might want to see where these tracks lead to.

As the sun rises, the Trio returns to the plains and collectively make a distressful call to the herd. Titus approaches the Trio, confused by all the commotion. Stera bellows at Titus, letting him know that Zeus is alive. Tyrannos chuffs towards the herd, telling Titus to guard it with his life. Titus obliges and calls for the herd to follow him. At first, it seems like the Trio managed to evade Zeus and warn the herd. That is until Tyrannos hears what sounds like electrical sparks behind him. He turns around and is horrified by what he saw. Stera and Leonne notice that something caught Tyrannos' attention. They both look and see what caught Tyrannos' attention. The Trio see Zeus standing right in front of them. They couldn't believe that Zeus had managed to follow them. Knowing what needs to be done, the Trio prepare to fight Zeus and protect the herd.
