Shadows of Revenge

Glimmers of Hope

Glimmers of Hope

Mar 16, 2025

As the door closed behind Nakajima and the crew, the oppressive atmosphere in the room began to dissipate, replaced by an unsettling stillness. Ryu was now alone with Yuuki, the only sound the soft rustle of the boy's ragged breathing. Yuuki's fragile form was curled up on the head of the bed, his back facing the wall as if seeking refuge from the world. His body still trembled with fear, his vulnerability a poignant reminder of the trauma he had endured.

Ryu's eyes never left Yuuki's quivering form as he slowly rose from his stance and approached the bed. His movements were deliberate, cautious, as if not to startle the frightened boy further. He sat down on the edge of the bed, his weight causing the mattress to dip slightly, and Yuuki's body tensed in response. As Ryu's hand reached out, Yuuki flinched, his eyes widening in terror.

"Don't worry, I’m not going to harm you anymore," he promised, hope his words a balm to Yuuki's frayed nerves.

Ryu's hand, still outstretched, contacted Yuuki's bound wrists, his fingertips brushing against the fragile skin with reassuring touch. This time, unlike before, Yuuki's body didn't flinch away, though his trembling persisted, a testament to the deep-seated fear that still lingered within him. Yet, in a subtle shift, Yuuki's rigid posture eased, his tense muscles relaxing ever so slightly as he allowed Ryu's hand to make contact. Ryu's fingers began to work the wires that bound Yuuki's hands. The metallic click of the restraints as they disengaged echoed through the room, a crisp, liberating sound that seemed to hang in the air. As the wires fell away, they slid to the mattress with a soft clatter, the sudden absence of their constraining pressure a palpable relief.

In a sudden, unexpected movement, Yuuki lunged forward, his arms wrapping tightly around Ryu's waist as he buried his face in the crook of Ryu's neck. His voice, laced with desperation, trembled as he pleaded, "I'm scared. Please don't do this anymore. I promise I will do whatever you want." The fervor in his words was like a jolt of electricity, shocking Ryu out of his conflicted thoughts and leaving him momentarily stunned. He had not anticipated such an impulsive, vulnerable reaction from Yuuki, especially not from a boy who had shown such remarkable defiance and resilience moments earlier. As Ryu's arm hesitantly closed around Yuuki, holding him in a loose, uncertain embrace, he felt the weight of the boy's terror and his own conflicted emotions bearing down on him, threatening to upend his already fragile resolve.

As Ryu's arms loosened their hold, Yuuki's tense body began to ease, his rigid muscles relaxing ever so slightly. With a gentle, careful movement, Ryu pushed his body back from the embrace, creating a small distance between them. His eyes began to assess Yuuki's condition, taking in the state of his attire. Yuuki's shirt was ripped open, the torn fabric hanging limply from his shoulders, while his pants were stripped down to his knees, exposing his boxer.

Ryu's gaze fell upon Yuuki's injured leg, and his expression darkened as he noticed the swelling that had begun to set in. The skin around the wound was already starting to bruise, a deep purple hue that seemed to spread by the second. Without thinking, Ryu reached out to touch the injured leg, but Yuuki's body flinched in response, a sharp, pained gasp escaping his lips. The reaction was a clear indication that the boy was hurt. Ryu's hand froze, his fingers hovering above the injured skin as he spoke "We will get this treated later."

"Come on," Ryu said, his voice low and gentle, as he rose from bed and extended his arm to the boy. But instead of acceptance, he was met with hesitation. Yuuki's eyes flashed with fear, and for a moment, he instinctively resisted, his body tensing as if preparing to flee. Ryu's gaze locked onto the boy, and he could see the turmoil brewing beneath the surface. Noticing the tension radiating from him, Ryu's voice shifted, taking on a sharper edge, one that was both calming and commanding.

"It's okay," he said, his tone steady and reassuring, as he tried to quell the boy's fears. "Let's get you cleaned up." The words were directive, but they were laced with a quiet authority, one that seemed to pierce through the boy’s uncertainty.

With a gentle but firm grip, Ryu pulled Yuuki's arm, coaxing him to stand. The boy's movements were slow and labored, his injured leg clearly causing him a great deal of pain. As they began to walk towards the bathroom, their pace was deliberate and measured, Ryu matching his stride to Yuuki's awkward gait. The boy's leg dragged slightly, his foot scraping against the floor as he struggled to put weight on it.

They finally reached the bathroom, Ryu guided him to the edge of the tub, his movements slow and careful, as if trying not to exacerbate the boy's injuries and set Yuuki down gently on the edge of the bathtub, “I’m going undress you, ok?” he asked, trying to instill a sense of calm. Yuuki nodded slowly, his eyes locked on Ryu's, a hint of trust and vulnerability flickering in their depths.

Ryu reached for the hem of Yuuki’s ripped shirt to help him out of it, he paused, acutely aware of the intimacy of the moment. With a steadying breath, he pulled the fabric over Yuuki's head, revealing the boy’s flushed skin underneath. Gently as his hand began to work on the pants and underwear aware that boy’s feet still swollen and bruised from his escape event.

He rolled up his sleeves and turned on the shower, adjusting the temperature to ensure it was warm and inviting. The gentle sound of water cascading down filled the room, providing a calm backdrop to the palpable tension that remained.

Ryu stepped closer and his eyes locked on Yuuki's. "Can you stand?" he asked, cautiously reaching out to assist. Yuuki nodded, albeit hesitantly, and with Ryu's support, he carefully positioned himself beneath the warm spray. The water poured across his skin, washing away the dirt and grime of the day.

As the warm water cascaded down, Yuuki's features began to relax, the tension in his face easing, like the gentle lapping of waves on a summer shore. The remnants of fear, etched on his skin like scars, started to wash away with each droplet, leaving his naked skin glistening and vulnerable. The water seemed to caress his body, soothing away the lingering anxiety, and Ryu's gaze was drawn to the sight, transfixed by the alluring tableau before him.

The water danced across Yuuki's skin, highlighting the contours and curves of his toned body, from the delicate lines of his neck to the rounded slope of his shoulders, and down to the curve of his round buttocks and the lean lines of his legs. The droplets clung to his skin, accentuating the subtle ridges and valleys of his body, and Ryu felt his breath catch in his throat as he took in the sight. The warm light of the shower cast a golden glow over Yuuki's body, illuminating the gentle play of water and skin.

In that moment, Ryu felt tormented by the sight. His heart racing, his pulse pounding in his ears, he felt an overwhelming sense of desire and longing. The warmth of the water, the intimacy of the moment, and the vulnerability of the boy all combined to create a potent cocktail that threatened to overwhelm him. Attempted to reign in his thoughts, he reminds himself that Yuuki is the son of the man he despised most and not to mention that he is a boy. But his eyes seemed to have a mind of their own, drinking in the sight of his naked form. He was torn between his loyalty to his own hatred and the unwanted attraction that had taken hold of him, an attraction that he couldn't explain or justify.

Swallowing hard, He forced out a steady tone, despite the underlying tension that threatened to crack his composure. "Let me know if you need anything," he said, the words contrast to the feeling brewing inside him. He steeled himself, resolving to keep his distance, to maintain a safe emotional detachment from the vulnerable figure before him.

Yuuki, still beneath the warm cascade of water, seemed to gain a bit of his confidence back. “Why are you doing this?” he asked, his voice slightly muffled by the sound of water. The question hung in the air, a challenge wrapped in vulnerability.

Ryu hesitated, the weight of Yuuki's inquiry bearing down on him like a physical force. He felt the need to respond, to provide some semblance of an explanation, but the truth was, he wasn't entirely sure himself. " I guess because it's necessary," he replied, his tone neutral, a careful mask to conceal the internal conflict raging within him. Yet, as he spoke, he couldn't shake off the nagging sense of doubt. Was it necessary? Or was he simply trying to justify his earlier actions.

Yuuki's gaze met Ryu's, water streaming down his face, his eyes a potent mixture of defiance and fear. The boy's spirit, though battered and bruised, remained unbroken, and rather than intimidating Ryu, it stirred something deep within him. As the tension thickened in the air, Ryu was struck by a powerful realization that he was simultaneously the captor and the protector, a paradoxical role that left him feeling conflicted. It was as if he had been thrust into an unjust play, one that neither of them had chosen, and he was still struggling to find his footing.

As Yuuki finished rinsing off, he attempted to step out of the shower, his antalgic gait a testament to the pain and discomfort that still lingered in his injured leg. He reached for a nearby towel, his movements tentative and uncertain, and for a moment, Ryu thought he would make it. But then, Yuuki's leg buckled beneath him, and he stumbled, his arms flailing wildly as he struggled to regain his balance. Ryu reacted instinctively, leaning forward to grab Yuuki's arm and steady him, his hand closing around the boy's wrist like a vice, while his other hand instinctively went to his waist to support him. For a moment, they were frozen, their bodies locked in an awkward pose. Yuuki's face began to flush with embarrassment, his cheeks burning with a deepening blush.

As they regained their composure, Ryu gently sat Yuuki down on the edge of the bathtub. Then, he grabbed a towel and draped it over Yuuki's shoulders, the soft fabric enveloping the boy's frame. As Yuuki began to dry himself, his eyes cast downward, his face still flushed with embarrassment. He looked shy and vulnerable under Ryu's gaze, his usual spark of defiance temporarily extinguished.

Yuuki finished drying himself off, he slowly looked up at Ryu and asked, his voice barely above a whisper, "What should I wear?" The question was a poignant reminder of the events that had transpired earlier, and Ryu's gaze drifted to the torn and tattered clothes that lay discarded on the floor. For a moment, he simply stared at Yuuki, his eyes taking in the boy's frame and the vulnerable expression on his face.

Without a word, Ryu began to unbutton his own blazer, the soft rustle of the fabric the only sound in the silence. He slipped it off his shoulders and tossed it over to Yuuki, who caught it awkwardly, his eyes widening slightly as he looked at the garment. The blazer seemed to hover in mid-air for a moment, before Yuuki's hands closed around it, his fingers wrapping around the fabric as if seeking comfort. "This will do for now," Ryu said, his voice low and rough, as he gestured for Yuuki to put on the blazer.

Yuuki slipped his arms into the sleeves, the blazer enveloped him, the shoulders sagging slightly and the hem falling to mid-thigh. The garment was a bit too big for the boy's frame, but it was better than nothing, and Ryu was relieved to see him covered, even if it was just in a makeshift way.

Their eyes met, and for a fleeting moment, Yuuki's gaze locked onto Ryu's, a spark of awareness flashing between them. However, Yuuki's cheeks soon began to flush again, and he hastily looked away, his eyelashes casting a delicate shadow on his skin. Ryu's gaze lingered on Yuuki's face, drinking in the sight of his features, and he noticed the boy's discomfort under his scrutiny. Yuuki's eyes darted back to the floor, his shoulders squaring slightly as he tried to compose himself. Sensing his unease, Ryu turned away, granting him a modicum of privacy, even though he had already seen most of the boy's naked form. The gesture was a small one, but it spoke volumes about the boy’s feelings and his desire for boundaries.

He reached for his phone, his fingers moving with a sense of purpose, as he instructed his men to bring a something to the room. "I need it now," he said.

As soon as Yuuki finished adjusting the blazer and pants, Ryu swiftly moved in, his arms scooping under Yuuki's knees and around his back, lifting him off the ground in a swift, fluid motion. Yuuki's eyes widened in shock as he found himself being swept up into Ryu's arms, cradled in a bridal-style carry that left him feeling both startled and vulnerable. The boy's face was a picture of surprise, his cheeks flushing a delicate shade of pink as he struggled to process the sudden act.

The boy's hands instinctively grasped at Ryu's shoulders, his fingers digging into the fabric of his shirt as he gazed up at Ryu's face, his eyes searching for answers. "W-what are you doing?" Yuuki stuttered, as he tried to make sense of the sudden turn of act.

His eyes locked onto Yuuki's as he replied, "You can't walk, this way is easier. Besides, we'll be going to the hospital after this to get your leg fixed. It's better if you don't put any unnecessary strain on it." His voice steady, but firm enough to convey the gravity of the situation.

As Ryu spoke, he carried Yuuki out of the bathroom, and one of his men was waiting by the door, a wheelchair at the ready. Ryu gently placed Yuuki in the chair, making sure he was comfortable and secure before stepping back. One of his men took hold of the wheelchair's handles, giving Ryu a nod before beginning to push Yuuki forward towards next destination.
