Jamie was always told she'd eventually meet the one. So, she waited, and waited, and waited. Thats special somebody just never came.
She was quick to accept that, though. She still had her friends, and she doesn;t have a partner to explain her thrifted teacup obsession to!
Jamie had a perfectly good thing going before Paige. Stupid Paige, with her Mary Janes and adorable dresses. Those bright orange hoop earrings she wore every day, and not to forget her matching necklace! Jamie was obsessed with her, she thought Paige was the best girl in the world! And she hated it.
It wasn't due to any faults of Paige- in fact, Jamie was positive that the girl was flawless. But, crushes were just so intense! It's like an arrow's been shot through her chest everytime she looks at her. She hates how she lets herself get invested in her fantasies, then have to realize that's all they are, fantasies. She's started giggling and kicking her feet in bed just thinking about her. Paige has made a mess of her.
Worst of all is that she can't do anything around Paige without embarrassing herself! It's like the Romance Department and Puberty Affairs in her brain completely take over.
Jamie just happens to share a class with Paige, and she'd love to talk to her. But, instead, she's just watching her from across the room. She thinks she's safe, but one swish of her silky smooth hair, and Paige is looking right at her! She smiles and then... winks at her! Could this be real?
Jamie doesn't even know if Paige is still looking at her. That fluttery feeling is back, but it makes Jamie feel a lot happier this time.
Just short LGBTQ+ stories i write when I feel like it. Might just be a lot of aroace stuff, but I'm just writing what I want to see. If there's something that that you think I represented poorly, just let me know and I'll fix it!
