Jack woke up with a singular focus—finding Selena. His jaw clenched as he thought about what might have happened to her. If they had hurt her, even in the slightest, there would be no forgiveness. No mercy.
"Selena, hold on. I swear, I’ll find you. And the people responsible… they’ll wish they never crossed me."
Without wasting another second, Jack stormed into Mr. Razel’s office, slamming the door behind him. The older man barely had time to react before Jack planted his hands on the desk, eyes blazing with urgency.
"Mr. Razel, I need your help," Jack demanded, his voice sharp as a blade. "I know you have connections. I need to find out who took Selena."
Mr. Razel’s face darkened. He leaned back in his chair, exhaling slowly. "Jack, listen to me. This is dangerous. Whoever did this—"
"I don’t care how dangerous they are!" Jack snapped, cutting him off. "You mentioned that Mr. Robinson had an old acquaintance who didn’t want this project to move forward. Who is he?"
Mr. Razel hesitated, his fingers tapping lightly against the wooden desk. "You’re playing with fire, Jack. These people… they don’t make threats. They make statements—deadly ones."
Jack’s patience was razor-thin. He slammed his fist onto the desk, causing a few papers to flutter. "And what do you think I’m going to do? Sit back and wait? While Selena is out there—God knows where?!" His voice was dangerously low now, a storm barely contained. "Tell me what you know, or I’ll find out another way. And trust me, it won’t be as pretty."
Mr. Razel studied Jack for a long moment, then sighed. He knew there was no stopping him. "Fine," he muttered. "But once you go down this path, there’s no turning back."
