Fated Witch

Fated Witch

Apr 25, 2025

“PLEASE! I BEG OF YOU! I’M NOT A WITCH; YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME! I’VE BEEN FRAMED!”

“Even now, when it’s as clear as our great blue sky that you are guilty of witchcraft, you still refuse to repent for your sins!?”

“P-PLEASE! DON’T DO THIS! MY FATHER IS VERY ILL AND HE NEEDS ME! OTHERWISE HE’LL DIE!”

“As if a disgusting witch like you would care about your father! In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if he is a witch as well!”

“You might be right! We should investigate him next after we send this demon spawn back to hell!”

“WHAT!? N-NO STOP! HE’S NOT A WITCH EITHER! PLEASE YOU DON’T REALISE YOUR MAKING A BIG MISTA-”

“I’ve heard just about enough of this demon! Burn the witch already so we can be done with hearing it’s nonsense!”

“YES! BURN THE WITCH! BURN THE WITCH! BURN THE WITCH!”

“N-NO WAIT! DON’T DO IT! DO- A-AH! AH! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh….-”

…

…

…

It’s been three days since my former best friend was burned to a crisp by the people of our village.

Marking her as the hundredth person in our quiet little village to become yet another victim to such a barbaric killing, her poor father was quickly added to that ever-growing list the day after.

I stood amongst the crowd and had witnessed every moment of her execution, replaying the burning in my head over and over since that day. Even now, while I washed my family’s clothes by the river, the image of her screaming in agony as her face began to melt until she could scream no more and became nothing more than a crisp corpse still felt as fresh in my mind as the day I had first witnessed it.

Seeing her suffer such a horrible and gruelling death... never failed to leave a big grin on my face.

Knowing that whore is rotting in hell as we speak

-
Struggling to get these blackened stains out of my favourite white blouse—an exasperated breath left me as I gave up on that endeavour for now and threw it back in the basket of dirty clothes and switched focus to one of my sister's skirts since they never seem to be a hassle to clean.

Thankfully, the wind wasn’t too aggressive today, so there was little risk that any of the clothes would be blown away and end up tangled amongst the giant thorn patch that had become aggressively overgrown down this hill.

If you lost anything down there, it would be impossible to get back since you’d become tangled within the thorny death trap if you were dumb enough to venture through it, eventually bleeding out and becoming a nice snack for some hungry crows.

I failed my duty once and lost my father’s favourite top within the thorns, with none of us able to figure out how to get it back without getting hurt in the process, deciding it was best to cut our losses and just let nature keep it.

My father made sure to punish me appropriately for losing his top, especially given our financial struggles, leaving behind a couple of brushes that stayed on my arms for weeks as a reminder to never be so careless again.

It was a painful lesson, but one that I rightfully deserved for failing my family with that reckless action.

My former friend, on the other hand, was too selfish to realise how she failed me by seducing the man I had my eyes on for months; that bitch even had the nerve to tell me that she planned on asking him out on a date.

She even rubbed salt in the wound by asking me to be her bride's maid if they ever got married, blatantly tearing my heart in two and confirming without a shadow of a doubt that she was never my friend and was nothing more than a backstabbing witch!

With her being a home-wreaking witch, it was only fair she should suffer the same fate as one, so I hatched a plan that started with sneaking a hungry fox into the family live stock in the middle of the night, killing all our chickens, thus giving me an excuse to journey outside the village and use the need to pick up more chickens as a cover story to allow me to visit one of the many forbidden merchants hidden throughout the land to purchase a tome full of dark spells.

Holding such a demotic book in my hands made me feel a deep sense of dread and caused my whole body to feel physically ill, as if a great evil had loomed over me.

Truly, that tome held such intense demotic power, and I must thank the Lord above that such evil hadn’t corrupted my very soul. I prayed to never have to go through such an unholy experience ever again.

I never felt such great relief once I relinquished the demotic tome from my soul by sneaking it into my ex-friend’s room, slipping the cursed book under a bucket she had under her bed, and anonymously telling the head priest that I had witnessed her pulling it out during a surprise visit, which quickly led almost everyone in the village to rally up and discover the tome I had planted in her room.

Once the book was found, they violently captured that whore, tying her to a makeshift wooden stake they quickly set up and wasted little time setting her ablaze; everyone celebrating another witch returning back to hell where she belonged, not a single soul suspecting it was me who set up getting the justice she deserved.

Though that cunt got what was coming to her for stealing my man, I never intended for her poor father to be caught in the crossfire since he didn’t do anything wrong and was nothing more than a sweet man that was always there for the village folk even during his illness.

I did all I could to vouch for his innocence, but my word was overruled by the mob, and he too had to suffer the same fate as his daughter, which I didn’t have the heart to attend in person.

Even from beyond the grave, another had to suffer because of that witch’s actions. May he rest in peace, and I hope God treats him kindly for what he had to suffer through.

Seems reminiscing on the past few days has helped pass the time quite a bit. I finished up on the last of my sisters clothes and only had my brother’s left to clean, who only had two pairs of shirts and pants to wash up before I can head home to hang all the clothes up and then end off the day by helping Mama with cooking dinner.

It was a shame that I would never be able to provide such a clean household to the man I loved, all because the venomous succubus rotting in hell had to cast her seduction spells on him. Besides her family, my love was the only one who argued her innocence to the bitter end.

He even had the gall to get angry at me for cheering in the crowd during her execution, cutting ties not only with me but with the rest of the village as well by leaving in the middle of the night with only a note condemning us all for the execution.

Poor, lost, beautiful fool...If only you could see how evil that woman truly was and how deeply she hypnotised you with her seductive charms...If only you had listened to me, I could have made you understand that she was nothing more than a temptress and that your true love was right here the whole time…

No use in longing for someone too far gone… I had to live in the now, and that meant finishing up the last of my brother’s clothes and wrapping up my family’s laundry for the day.

Well, all besides my favourite white blouse, I once again took another crack at trying to get these black stains off, yet no matter how hard I scrubbed, they just wouldn’t come out! “What is with this stain!? Why won’t you wash out!?” I’m ashamed to admit that I didn’t act very lady like trying to get these stubborn stains out; thankfully, no one was around to punish me for such abhorrent behaviour...

At least...That’s what I had thought.

“...Quite the stubborn stain, isn’t it? If you ask me, it seems like a futile effort to keep trying to get it off, because no matter how hard you scrub…”

You can never be rid of it

-
“W-Who goes there? Show yourself!” I quickly stood up, holding my soaked blouse to my chest and accidentally wetting my current outfit, searching for the source of this unnatural voice that sounded both like a man and a woman, yet also sounded like neither at the same time. “I-I swear, if you try anything, my dad and brother will hunt you down and make sure you suffer for daring to harm me!”

Searching every bit of my surroundings, I couldn’t find a single soul in the area, no matter what bush, tree, or even rock I looked behind. Even carefully gazing into the throne bush down the hill yielded no results.

This couldn’t have been possible. I know I heard that horrific voice near by, so they still had to be in the area somewhere, especially with very few places to hide, and the only way they can escape here is to run into the wide open field that surrounds the river, where I would be able to easily spot them.

It made me wonder, though...That unholy voice did fit the description of what could only be classed as the demon some of the other village folk had clammed to have encountered, a creature completely covered by a black robe that forced whoever it came across to play a coin-flipping game with them, stating bad things would befall who ever lost the game...

“C-Could that voice have been...N-No it couldn’t have been...I’m just imagining things.” Pushing that ridiculous nonsense the other village folk most likely made up out of my mind, I kneel down by the river once more and try to scrub these impossible stains from my blouse once more...Only to freeze once the voice had returned.

“Taking another swing at getting those stains out, huh? You’re quite the determined woman; I’ll give you that.”

My whole body began to shake, my breaths erratic once I heard that the demotic voice had come from directly behind me, feeling its unholy presence overwhelm my very soul in the exact same manner as when I held that evil tome in my hands.

I wanted nothing more than to scream for help, but I was too far away from my home and doubted anyone was about to hear my pleas, so I kept quiet in fear of what this vile entity would do to me if I tried.

“So...I assume your parents never taught you that it’s rude to have your back to someone who is speaking to you?” My chest pounded once this creature demanded my attention, swallowing back nothing. I cautiously followed it’s demands and turned around to gaze upon the creature with such an overwhelming evil aura.

The moment I laid my eyes on the creature, my chest began to tighten as if my heart had almost come to a stop. My eyes widened the moment I witnessed the creature’s true form.

"Ah, that’s much better; now we can play my favourite game together without any issues.”

I-It w-was the same robbed creature that the village folk spoke of, standing right before my very eyes, flipping a silver pence that I have no doubt is the instrument it uses to curse our souls.

Desperately rubbed my eyes to try and wake from this cursed nightmare, yet when I opened them, the creature was still there, confirming without a shadow of a doubt that Judgement…

Is real!
