No matter what happens—no matter the cost— I will save Selena. Even if there’s no turning back, even if I have to face hell itself, I won’t stop until she’s safe. I can’t. Not while she’s out there, trapped in the hands of those monsters.
Jack clenched his fists, his voice firm as he faced Mr. Razel. "I won’t find peace while Selena is in danger. I’m begging you—please help me."
Mr. Razel studied him for a long moment, then sighed, rubbing his temple. "You’re really determined, aren’t you?"
Jack’s eyes burned with desperation. "More than ever."
"Alright," Mr. Razel finally said. "Give me a few days. I’ll reach out to my contacts, and we’ll come up with a plan to find out who did this."
Relief and gratitude flooded Jack. "Thank you, Mr. Razel. I owe you."
Without wasting another second, he turned and stepped outside. The evening air was thick with tension, but his mind remained focused. As he walked, something caught his attention—a tall man standing near the alley.
White hair. Sharp features. A commanding presence.
Jack’s breath hitched. Mr. Robinson.
But something was wrong. The faint glow of a streetlamp illuminated his face, revealing deep cuts and bruises. He’d been threatened.
Jack’s instincts kicked in. He silently moved behind a tree, narrowing his eyes as he listened to the conversation unfolding before him.
"I'm telling you, Mr. Robinson," a rough voice sneered. "It’s better if you drop this project now. Walk away while you still can."
Jack’s grip tightened on the tree bark.
"If you don’t…" The man’s tone grew colder. "Your associate, Selena, will suffer the consequences. And trust me—you don’t want that on your conscience."
Jack’s pulse pounded in his ears. This was it. The lead he needed.
He had no choice now. He had to act fast—before it was too late.
