Sooooooo. It's been a while!
The long and short of it is life is still hard!!! I haven't found a job. It's been rough. But time marches on and unfortunately it has gotten away from me as you might have noticed.
But I'm here now and I have an update. This one looks a little unusual! I've been working on these pages since. Well. Two years ago. But I haven't been exactly happy with them. Part of the problem is I've switched my primary drawing program from Paint tool SAI to Clip Studio. And it just doesn't look the same! I thought for a while the coloring was the problem, so I experimented with using gradient maps to color the pages and see if that helped. I still don't love it and I a little regret not coloring them, but sunk cost fallacy and all that. As you can tell I tried different brushes and textures and it just didn't feel right to me. But I want to keep posting so I'm releasing them as they are. Good enough is something I have learned is simply the best product, when the other option is nothing.
Going forward I am gunna keep experimenting, so sorry if they look a little inconsistent for a bit. For the next pages I've been lining them in SAI with my old faithful brushes and plan on coloring and finishing in clip studio. So far it's made me work on far more pages than I have for the past two years.
