Chapter 13

Whispers of Distrust.

The Kingdom of Heaven shone with its eternal light, but a shadow of distrust hung over the immortals. The Great Immortal watched the prince with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. Something about the prince's answer hadn't entirely convinced him, and that feeling troubled him deeply.

The prince, aware of the Great Immortal's inquisitive gaze, maintained a serene expression, but deep down he knew there was a lurking danger. The Great Immortal's words echoed in his mind: "Something feels different."

In the Kingdom of Heaven, the angels continued with their duties, but distrust hung in the air like a heavy cloud. Ignis couldn't enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but from his position in the Mortal Realm, he smiled with sinister satisfaction. His plan was in motion, and the immortals didn't even suspect the true threat that loomed over them.

The Great Immortal decided it was time to investigate further. He called the other angels to a private meeting, leaving the prince out. The atmosphere in the room was tense, and every angel could sense the distrust in the air.

Something isn't right, said the Great Immortal, his deep voice echoing in the room. They wondered what really happened in the mortal realm.

The angels exchanged worried glances. They knew the Great Immortal was rarely wrong in his perceptions. They decided to observe the prince closely and look for any hint of betrayal.

Meanwhile, the prince was alone in his chamber, deep in his own thoughts. He knew he was being watched, but he also knew he must remain calm. He couldn't allow the other angels to discover what had really happened in the temple.

As the Great Immortal and the angels discussed their suspicions, the tension in the air grew more and more palpable. The Angels mentioned what they had done in the mortal realm, how they had fun with some dancing girls they had brought as a sign of peace, but nothing strange had happened with the rest…

The Great Immortal knew that mortals used dances especially to pay homage and bestow them as a gift on their most opulent guests. However, ¿why couldn't the prince feel like these Angels?

There was something not quite right about it, it didn't feel pleasant, as if he were no longer pure, and this was illogical given that Angels are very different from humans and don't succumb or fall into banal temptations.

In fact, there had never been a mixture between Angels and any other species before, because he molded them from the clay and created them as he felt they could be…

And he had always believed that the prince was exactly that: a prince, the one who took the longest time to create, the one he wanted to give the most detail because he didn't want him to be the same as any other Angel, he wanted him to be unique. That's why he felt jealous of this gray cloud that seemed to stain his celestial aura.
