You know what is the worst thing to hear in the dark? Children's laughter when you know for a fact that children are not aloud on site.

That is the straight up scariest thing to hear in the dark even when children ARE allowed on site. When you hear children laughing but see no children and it is when it is dark or in the wilderness you can be sure that someone is going to wind up dead. Pray it is not you.
