The following day, Anastasia was in the library again.
If she planned to meet and maybe marry the Crown Prince, she needed to find a way to meet him. She wanted to wait for the royal ball, but she was afraid of waiting too long. She needed to establish a relationship with him before the ball to prevent him from meeting with Sofia.
It may be a bit underhanded, but it was necessary. The royal family had the resources she needed to go back home. According to her research and her memory, the royal family had access to a forbidden library with unknown rituals and dozens of magicians within their royal army.
She had been content at first but the truth was that she missed her family. Although she had been living in this world for months, she had not entirely given up on the idea of returning home. She was just afraid to get her hopes up.
Also, she feared returning to her former self. Back in her world, she had been unwell, both physically and mentally. For several weeks, she believed she had simply lost her mind. The more she reflected on it and analyzed the situation, the more it seemed that she had died in her world.
That was terrifying. Although it was a possibility, she still wanted to try to go back home. Even if she hadn’t died, she would still be in the hospital. She would lose her mobility, and that was okay.
I need to go back home, even if all those things are true, she thought.
As she looked over her research, she found her answer.
Her family owned a plot of land on the northeastern side near the palace. It supplied over half of the palace’s food supply. Perhaps she could convince her family to visit that area despite its distance.
