Days before a festival, young Mosaian, Magi sees a strange creature fall towards the nearby forest. Upon making sure he's okay, she drags him back to her home in Starlight Town, where he fails make a good first impression with the other residents. Nor does he seem willing to be her friend. Despite this, and a dangerous escapade, she and her caretakers convince the stranger, Venta, to stay.
Meanwhile, new neighbors begin moving into town. But with magical creatures roaming closer than ever before, it becomes a dangerous problem. Can Magi, Venta, and everyone else figure out what's causing these creatures to attack? Or will something terrible happen before they can do anything?
