Techno looked up at the Sythen and some how smiled gently with his lips that were full of scars. Techno straightened his posture as he walked over to the boy who flinched a little at the sound of each footstep towards himself. Techno crouched down in front of Sythen and gently patted the boys head while speaking up "Morning buddy. How did you sleep? I know it was a bit chilly last night but the magma in the roof should have heatted it up at least a little bit last night I keep telling Phil that we need to change it out, but he never listens when he goes to the neather"
Sythen nodded not really a talker. His broken English was not that hard to understand but it was there as he only spoke few words, "Y...a i..t w...as ok..ay i gu...ss. I h..av..e h..ad w..o..re..s".
Techno forwned at the tought of the boy suffereing through worst conditons than what they were living in. Sythen looked away mainly taking in his new surroundings of the house that took him in. Techno not knowing what else to say to the boy as he looked at Philza for help. Phil just shrugged it off and took the rabbit stew out of the furnace before it either over cooked or spilled out over the top of the bowl.
Sythen looked at the stew in Philza's hand and walked over. His little stomach growled in hunger as he took in the good smell of actual food for once. Sythen reached for the hot bowl of stew not paying attention to the temperature or the large portion. Philza noting the boy's reach for the steaming hot bowl gently held it away from reach. He didn't want it to burn the boy's hands with the steaming hot stew. Sythen tears up wanting the food and this made Philza feel guilty for not feeding the boy.
"I'm sorry little one I can't just give you food that just came out the furnace. It will hurt your little hants buddy" Philza tried to explain to Sythen who was still on the verge of crying, "I's sorry buddy please don't cry".
"H...un..gr..y, f...oo..d p..lea...se", Sythen spoke in broken English. He reached for the stew with teary eyes. His little stomach growled with hunger his body just pleading for food.
"we have to let it cool down little one I'm sorry buddy" Philza spoke his heart breaking at the sight of the teary eyed boy reaching for the food that he had in his hands, "Go see Techno he might have something that can hold you over until it is cooled off buddy".
Techno smiled softly at the boy holding out an apple that he had not yet turned gold. He gently placed the boy down on the onto a chest to be able to sit down. Sythen whimpered but his tears slowly dired up. Techno handed the boy the apple allowing him to eat it while the stew is cooling off. Sythen happily took the apple and eats it eagurly his little stomach growling.
Philza put the stew into sepreat bowles allowing it to cool off faster. While Techno was rummaging through some old clothes from when him, Tommy, and Wilber were kids. Sythen happily gnaws on the apple the sweet taste tingling his taste buds. Soon Techno found one of Wilburs old sweaters and some shorts that were Tommy's. Techno helped Sythen change and threw away the core to the apple that the boy had just eaten.
By the time the boy was dressed the stew was finished cooling off and ready to be eatten at a warm temperature. Techno helped the boy sit down at the table since the chairs were a little too high up for him. Sythen sat there and looked at the bowl of stew with hungry eyes. The apple wasnt much and he clearly hasnt eatten in forever.
"You can eat it now kiddo. It's not that hot anymore" Philza spoke gently as he ate his own stew. His wings folded against his back, "you dont need permission if that is what you are waiting for darling".
Sythen nodded and immediately dug into the stew with the spoon in his hand. He ate slowly but quickly at the same time. He was savering the taste of good food that he had not tasted in forever. Techno sitting behind them in his stood that he used to be able to sharpen his axe and polish his armor. Sythen seeing that Techno was not eating he felt bad and grabbed his bowl climbing out of the chair. He walked over to Techno and held out his bowl of stew.
"y..ou n..ee..d t..o e..at a...s w...ell" Sythen spoke in broken english holding out the bowl to the taller man.
Techno chuckled and took the bowl taking a few bites. He gently ruffled Sythen's hair and spoke softly, "Thank you buddy now go eat your own food alright? you need to put some meat on your bones"
Sythen nodded and went back to the table. He struggled a little bit but was able to climb into the chair. Sythen settled into the the chair and went back to eating the stew. He was comfortable and happy now where he was.
