Mia plopped in the swivel chair in front of Mina’s desk. He instantly sunk into the memory foam cushions. He calmly exhaled and smiled as Mina sat down.
“Enjoying yourself?” Mia spoke up, muffled by the cushions
“This chair is TOO soft for its own good” Mina smiles.
“I know, that’s why I like them” She reached over and opened a file cabinet, opening it and pulling out a stack of papers. Mia exhales. ‘So much signing…’ Mina chuckles upon seeing Mia’s face.
“I know it’s a lot of papers, but I have to sign more than you do, so it’s equal fair, equal trade, y’know?” Mia sat up from his comfort, reaching for a pen.
“Let’s get this over with… as for your Agent costume, Mia, You don’t have to give me a final draft right now, but by next week would be great” Mia nods.
“I ain’t an artist, but I’ll try” Mina chuckles as Mia signs a paper. Mina grabs the paper and flips to another page. Mia looks up, seeing something in the window, before it suddenly disappears. ‘What the-’
“Mia?” Mia shook his head.
“Sorry” Mina chuckled again.
“Don’t worry, this is the second to last place you have to sign, Mia” Mia fakes wiping off sweat, causing them to both laugh after a moment. Mia smiles and reluctantly stands from the comfort of the chair.
“Thanks for that Mia, have a good rest” Mia nods.
“You too” Mia reached for the doorknob, suddenly stopping and turning to look. A tall man stood between him and Mina. His greasy black hair was combed straight back and shiny. His eyes were a bright gold color. Mia jumps a bit as the man looks at Mia, then at Mina.
“Did I show up early… and interrupt something?” Mina smirks, lifting her hand as Mia relaxes slightly.
“Don’t worry, I'll be fine, Mia.” Mina then looks up at the man.
“And don’t worry, you’re just on time, Daiki Takao, lemme get your files to sign” Mia exhales and leaves the room, closing the door as quietly as he could. He turned and exhaled. ‘Who was that…? Ms. Daniel said his name was… Daiki… something?’ Mia’s eyes fall on the courtyard garden as it’s engulfed in the sunset yellow and orange hues.
“It doesn’t matter… I better get ready for bed” Mia turns away and walks towards his room. Opening the door and walking in and closing it behind him.
Mia stepped out of the shower, his hair dripped with water as he rushed to wrap it in a towel. Mia exhales steam.
“A good long hot shower always feels good on the skin” Mia stretches his back and pops his fingers. He took a big deep breath and walked over to his piano that had been shoved in the corner.
“Been a minute since I played… might as well, huh?” Mia sat down on the small bench and closed his eyes. He spread his fingers across the keys and started playing; losing himself in the softness of the patterns coming from the instrument, he tapped the keys in a soft, yet fast manor. The sounds combined to make it all surreal, it sounded of beautiful cherry trees in the spring. He wasn't thinking, he was just playing. His fingers moved swiftly and effortlessly as he slightly swayed where he sat. He slowly stopped playing and leaning back, looking up at the ceiling and taking a deep breath.
“Wonder what Nohan and Ryuuji are up to”
Footsteps echoed under the dark moonlit sky. The distant sounds of bustling Tokyo filled the warm air. His steps boomed against the alleyway’s concrete. His black hair was combed left, slowly turning red. His red cape flowed faintly in the wind behind him and he had hidden blades and sheaths head to toe. He turns and stops at a door in the back side of a building.
“So this is where you’re hiding, Dad?” He takes a deep breath and kicks the door in, shattering it from its hinges as he steps in. A man looking over.
“Hey, you aren’t supposed to be here-” He quickly kicks the man in between the legs, then punches him across the face. He turns and walks down a flight of stairs into an underground secret bar. A man sits at the counter of the bar with long gray hair.
“Who’s there, i’m busy”
“You know who and why I’m here… Dad” The man sitting at the bar turns around. His green eyes with no highlights.
“No way… Rue Achlys… I thought I’d killed you all those years ago” Rue looks at his Dad.
“I thought I killed you with my flames upon awakening my ability, but no… it was a clone… and sorry, that’s not what I go by anymore…” Rue grabs out his long broadsword from its sheath.
“I go by Requiem now… and once and for all, this is where you die, Anthrax” Anthrax rises standing with a smirk.
“What, y’ain’t gonna call dear ol’ Dad by his real name” Requiem squints, his grey eyes turning red.
“I’ll have no need to once you’re dead”
