Chapter Three: Digging into the Past

Chapter Three: Digging into the Past

Apr 30, 2025

*Back In the Lab*

Sythen would be stuck in a cold white padded room. All that was in there was an examination table, desk with a chair, a mattress on the ground in the corner of the room, and above cabinets that were always locked. There were no others to talk with but the scientist and nurses that would come and do the experiments throughout the days. Things were horrible in the lab he was only fed once a week depending on how experiments went. Quackity would only feed Sythen if an experiment when the way he wanted, but it would only be once every two weeks.

Sythen had to get used to this type of living conditions as he grew older. The boy had never met his mother and probably never will. The experiments were brutal and never fun. Some experiments would start early in the morning and won't stop until 2-3 days later depending on how long it takes. One experiment that the boy had went for started one Monday morning when he had woken up. He was in his lab room when Quackity had come into the room holding a needle in his hand. Sythen learned not to be scared of the needles over the years of experiments.

Quackity roughly grabbed the scruff (back of Sythen's neck) and jabbed the needle into his skin without any mercy. The liquid burned going into his body which made Sythen flinch a little. He landed on the floor when Quackity dropped him against it. The next few days here painful and burning. The experiment was to see how his body would react to inner explosions of nerves in his body. This did not go well for Sythen at all. He could feel the nerves in his body explode every time his skin came in contact with anything even his clothes.

This experiment lasted for a total of 14 days which adds up to 2 weeks. It finally ended when Quackity gave Sythen the reversal to the first liquid that was given to him. Everything was sore on the boy's body and every time he would try to move from his mattress his body would contract its own muscles uncontrollably normally leading to a seizure. Sythen had spent many nights crying out in pain while nothing was done about it.

One-night Quackity was at the lab looking over reports and files from past failed experiments when he had heard Sythen crying from his room. Sythen being in extreme pain already was a sobbing mess on the mattress that he was laying on in his room. Though the crying had annoyed Quackity to the bone and he ended up going into the room and beating Sythen until the boy was unconscious. During the beating Quackity had used a leather belt and a steel tipped whip against the boys bear back. Calling Sythen names like "Useless experiment" and "Worthless piece of crap".

When the Sythen woke up he felt even weaker, and his body was covered in bruises and sores.  The boy lied there unable to move at all as if he felt like he couldn't even breath. He wasn't for sure, but he could tell that his wrist could have been possibly broken by the pain and heaviness in it. The boy was 5 when this happened and was never able to overcome it as it had traumatized him. The day of the explosion Sythen was taken to a back room where he was experimented on after he had recovered from the beating.

Though it was a failed experiment and Sythen ended up accidently exploding the left corner wall of the lab room. While Quackity and the other scientist were worried about the test tube and "medications" Sythen snuck away through the opening to get away. Sythen had ran for miles without stopping. The hunger in his belly raged on as he ran but he did not want to stop for anything he just wanted to get away. He finally stopped on the border of the artic where it was cold hiding behind a bush when the heard the clink of hooves against the ground. It was Techno.

This takes place before the L’Manburge and Pogtopia war. Sythen was an experiment created by Quackity to try and take on L’manburge for himself, but Sythen escaped the underground lab due to an explosion in a failed experiment. Sythen is no older than 8 in this AU and grows up over the months with Techno and Philza as Technos adopted child. Techno still hates orphans but when it comes to Sythen he somehow has a soft spot for the boy. This book does not start off with the explosion, it starts off with Techno finding Sythen and taking back to Philza’s house in the arctic. Also, there are a few ships in this book such as Quackbur and DreamNotFound. There will also be Karlnap and SamPonk. Thank you for reading this. I hope that you enjoy this book! And remember this is my AU so please do not make bad comments on this book! Thanks for listening and kick back your feet and enjoy the reading. (TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES! Blood for the blood god!)
