Chapter- 2:

A childhood friend?!

I place the dishes that were ordered by the family and say.

"Your order, sirs. Please dig in."

A glint in my eye as I smirk and watch the family eat and smile.

"Wow! This is truly delicious! The same as before!"

I blink a few times. Before? We're they customers before our restaurant was torn down? The omega male looks up at me and smiles.

"Hey there, do you know who is, XienLin?"

I raise an eyebrow, they know my uncle's name? How weird...

"Ah, yes. I do. He is my uncle."

The omega man clasps his hands together and smiles.

"Your uncle, you say? Can you call him over? Say that 'Iloncer came to greet him,' okay?"

I tilt my head in confusion, not knowing who they are but nod.

"Of course, I will inform my uncle of you."

I walk over to the kitchen as I peek at my uncle cooking and clear my throat as I stand straight. 

"Ahem, Uncle. A man named Iloncer came to meet you -"

My uncle's eyes brighten as he looks up at me.

"Iloncer came?!"

I blink a few times and nod as my uncle dashes out of the kitchen faster than flash himself, I bet! I see my uncle going over and hugging the omega man. Who is he? I catch Reilivon looking at me as he smirks. For some odd reason, I feel a very strong urge to punch him in the face. I growl at him. I walk over to my uncle curiously.

"Who are they, Uncle?"

My uncle chuckles as he pats my shoulder and looks up at me.

"Hah! Don't tell me you forgot about them! It's the family that used to live next to us when you were 5 or 6. And that alpha man over there with blonde hair used to play with you all the time! You know? Reilivon? Rei?"

I process this information and gasp. Rei?! The boy who used to play with me and was utterly annoying as hell? No wonder I want to punch that guy's face whenever I see it. I glare at Reilivon, and he smiles. Ugh... it really is, Rei.

"It's... nice to meet you, again. Ha... ha." I force myself to smile, while my eye slightly twitches in irritation 

Reilivon smirks as he looks up at me.

"Nice to meet you again, Xin."

I glare down at him, using that nickname. Ugh... how annoying he is. 

"How nice it is to see you."

Reilivon raises an eyebrow as he looks up at me and stands up from his seat.

"That doesn't sound very sincere. Are you sure you're not lying?"

Throw a punch? Or no? Nah. I don't feel like it. And I bet it'll cause a scene. I clench my fists and force a smile.

"Why would you think I'm lying? I would NEVER lie!"

My uncle glares up at me, and I groan.

"Haha! Don't mind, XinLao. He is just feeling a little tired today!"

He pinches my arm, and I let out a yelp.

"Isn't that right, XinLao?"

I force a smile as I nod and chuckle. Rubbing the back of my neck.

"Yes, hahaha...! I'm sorry for this inconvenience I've caused you."

Iloncer shakes his head and smiles.

"It's no issue, XinLao. Oh, right. You probably don't know my husband's name, do you?"

I shake my head as I force a smile and think to myself, 'I don't want to know shit about your husband! Please just let me go. Why?!'

"Oh yes! I don't know Uncle's name..."

The other alpha man smiled and introduced himself.

"My name is Hivolti Recardoz. And this is my son, Reilivon Recardoz. It's a pleasure to meet you again, XinLao."

I let out a fake chuckle and look at Hivolti.

"It's nice to meet you again, Uncle Hivolti."

He smiles and nods at me while turning back to look at Reilivon.

"Reilivon, you and XinLao should catch up! I mean, it's been a while since you two met."

I immediately shake my head and say, pretending to cough and act sick

"Cough! I'm sorry, Uncle... but as my uncle said... I am quite tired. And it appears that I've gotten a cold." I pretend to sneeze.

"It appears that I can not catch up right now. I am most terribly sorry."

Reilivon smirks as he chuckles and places his hand on my shoulder.

"Poor you. But weren't you just fine a moment ago? What of the sudden cold?"

I flinch as I glare up at him, God... he is still as persistent as I remember! My uncle chimes in

"Go with him, XinLao!" 

I groan and resign to my fate. As I sigh deeply and look up at Reilivon.

"Fine then... let's go, catch up."

Reilivon smirks as he looks down at me and walks over to the door and opens it.

"After you."

I glare up at him, annoyed by this, and walk outside. I can open the door by myself! This just disgraces my pride as an alpha! 

Reilivon chuckles as he follows me and says.

"Cmon, were childhood friends, aren't we? Let's catch up."
