Lawyer Kim:“I know you wouldn't lie.Even if you don't know me well I know you very well.” He always made it a habit to sip his coffee while speaking.

“You have always been a man of character and a hero to those in need. Word to the wise don't let that get you killed because sometimes being the hero is overrated sometimes letting sleeping dogs lie is a good thing.” If you had done that you wouldn't have ended up dead

Lawyer Kim:“I'll keep that in mind for the future. But right now the first thing that needs to be done is emancipation. I can put in an emergency request. Even if it's not settled in court before your birthday it's okay. What we really want to do is stall for the remaining days. This way you don't have to legally be there. “

“Good so I don't need to go back to that house”.

Lawyer Kim:“No, you're free. We just need to make it legal.”

Lawyer Kim:“No, I can't do that to you. I promised your mom I would help you and protect you. Here this key is to an apartment that I use for abuse victims when they need a few nights to stay when they are in between places. It's secure and no one can enter without clearance first.”

“You're just going to trust me so blindly. What if I trash the place.”

Lawyer Kim:“Don't worry, I have insurance.”

“Thank you”

Lawyer Kim:“ I still have work to finish up and meet clients so I won’t be able to go with you but I will stop by later tonight sometime to make sure you're okay. I’ll have Mrs. Potts sent for a taxi for you. Just wait in the waiting room”

I can't help but hug him again, I can feel the tears welling up. This man is the kindest and most noble I have ever met. “You truly are a good person and I won't let anyone hurt you this time around” I'm sure he could hear that since it's a whisper he's hugging back this time.

Lawyer Kim:“What was that”

“Nothing. I'll go wait for the cab and I'll head out and wait for you at the apartment.”
