The Celestial Betrayal, Through Time and Tears

Chapter Six Thallas

Chapter Six Thallas

May 07, 2025

“Well, well, well, lookie here. It seems she's hitting the pavement running as the mortals say.” the Majestic voice was sharp. His eyes glowing red as he looks at Fate's face and talking in a condescending way as to mock her, holding back his anger as much as possible.

”You interfered!” Fates voice raised and could be heard outside the door.

”Well I could say the same for you.” She senses his killing intent behind his smile. “ You've been interfering for sometime now and I just thought I would level the playing field” Majestic voice smile still dancing on his face masking his rising temper.

”I won't let that monstrosity exist if I have my way.”

”Tsk tsk Lilith.” Majestic voice says ominously

“You will address me as Fate.” her shameless voice demanded, as her eyes glow purple. Her hair, golden like the sun, floats near her eyes, complementing her fair skin.

“Only those weak men who fell at your feet address you so lovingly.”

“They understood I was worth bowing too since I am their queen.”

“No precious, they were just fooled by you, you're no queen.”

“I've never fooled anyone.”

“Oh you're so good at fooling others that you've even fooled yourself.” Majestic voice smiles wickedly while his red eyes glow threateningly.

Seeing his smile enrages her.

“You would do well to calm yourself in my presence.”

Fate reaches to her back to unhook her spear which has electricity pulsating through it but before she can unfasten it he speaks.

“I could say the same about you. You might want to take that hand off that spear or I might be inclined to believe you wish me harm. And we know what happens to people that wish me harm.” Majestic voice anger now showing in his eyes which glow violently with his tempter now fully on display

“Okay. Both of you need to calm yourselves.” Nyx raises his voice, cutting through the tension. His short silver hair glistens under the light, his golden eyes flash with urgency as he stands from his desk, eager to stop the two in front of him. His face is calm and commanding.

“I don't need to do anything.” Majestic voice tone becomes more cynical

“You do right now, as we all agreed we would allow this to play out with no violence in this realm and that one. So for now Fate please leave, I wish to speak with Thallas.” Nyx pointing to the door, calming his voice and pleading.

Fate storms out of the room

”She really despises you” Nyx exhales exhaustedly

"Probably because I exposed her true nature. You know that tends to make people upset," Thallas said, staring intensely at Nyx, the anger still simmering in his eyes.

"That's still to be determined. And even so, her points were valid then and still are today." Nyx pleading voice still present

“You may feel that way since she's your wife, but I've made myself clear before. When the agreement was made all those centuries ago, as long as no one gets in my way, I could care less what you do on that throne.”

"That was all said before she was an issue." Nyx seeming more depreate.

“She is no issue and never has been.” Thallas steps closer to him not cooling his anger.

“She is an issue! So much so she has you battling your own. She put you up to this bet!”Nyx's voice rising with each word

“The bet wouldn't be needed if someone knew how to control their harlot masquerading as a goddess!” Thallas’ eyes glowing more violently while speaking.

“You will not speak of my wife in that way!”

“I will speak of her as I please brother- especially since finding out she's more of a ego-drunk, glory-hungry witch than I thought.”

“She has always only looked out for the well being of our people” Nyx's voice now sounding pleading.

“Oh yes brother. She did it all for us." Thallas jesterd with his hands in the air. "That's why everyone is parading her around in the streets right now singing her praise after finding out what she has done”

“Do not mock me. I may have shared a womb with you but right now I stand before you as your king.” Nyx's fist hits the desk, face full of anger as he looks at Thallas

“The only reason you stand with that crown is because your praise-thirsty witch stole it from me and placed it on your head. If that self-anointed queen didn't do what she did everything would be different, and you know it." Thallas’ eyes glowing with his whole body engulfed in a red glow. " Once I prove she killed her I'll be coming for her head. and brother i will not hesitate to take yours too if you stand in my way”.

"How are you so sure it would've worked out?!" he growls. "They're greedy creatures with no bounds, no loyalty to their own, no oaths to the gods, and morals that shift to fit their needs. They devour everything in their path-and we keep hoping they'll change and they never do".

“I know because my little one exists! She is proof, living proof that your witch was and still is wrong.” He screams. Thallas fully showing his rage. His power pushing Nyx back a step

“Brother” fear clearly on Nyx’s face as he steadies himself.

“Do not call me that way when you can't even meet my eyes! We are twins and yet just like how our eye color is different, so are our goals. Elizabeth and I had the same goal and once so did you and I. If it wasn't for Elizabeth I wouldn't even have been able to find out everything because you definitely kept your mouth shut”. Thallas stares at him with glowing eyes.

Nyx Looks to the side and refuses to make eye contact while searching for words to extinguish Thallas anger but finding none.

“This bet will set everything right and have your 'wife' finally step back and leave them damned mortals alone. Since I've said everything I had to say I will take my leave my dear “King”. Thallas turns and walks outside onto a pathway that leads to the remote area of the city.

He looks around noticing the peace and starts to think:

A world untouched by time, heavy with beauty, the sky which drips of lavender as the sun sets and the roads that seemed to only exist lightly. Sparkling streams that flow causing one to feel comfort. These were the things she loved about this place. She always appreciated this world's beauty.

“It's quite cold tonight. I hate it. It fits the mood too much." He looks at the night sky. "This mood is making it hard not to think about the first time I met her. During that time it was the opposite of this and the cherry blossoms were budding. I remember it like it was just yesterday. Her beautiful red hair”

Angie has been dealt a rough hand. She lost her mother, and ended up abused by her adopted mother. Almost sold to a creep and lost some people in death that she loved like family. It Just seems like Fate wont let her be. She ends her short life in a ditch begging to not be killed. Broken and killed by the man she loves in her last moments she hears a voice. Then she wakes up in her room five years before the tragedy with a second chance. But this second chance comes with a price she wasn't prepared for.

What would you do if you were given a do-over?
Would you treasure the ones you love more?
Would you play the lottery, knowing the winning numbers?
Would you chase after that one person you foolishly let go?

Well, what about murder? Seeking revenge might end up on that plate too.
Or maybe you’d start digging into old, unanswered questions?

I don’t know about you, but Angie here — she’s got a lot of bones to pick with someone.
Or is it someones?
Oh, I don’t know... but I thought it would be fun to see what she would do if given a second chance.

See, Angie’s a smart child — maybe too smart.
So smart she got herself killed.
She noticed things, trusted the wrong people... tsk, tsk, tsk.
She was so sweet — you know, before the whole "being murdered" thing.

So, are you ready to see how Angie uses that second chance?
Might want to grab some popcorn while we watch, because this is going to be a long —and I mean long — ride.
