Chapter 4 - A Dance with My Dear Nemesis

Chapter 4 - A Dance with My Dear Nemesis

May 09, 2025

Aria’s POV:

“Can you feel it?” Isaiah’s voice was a soft whisper against my ear, smooth and electric. “The electricity between us? The fire burning just beneath the skin? It’s like a living force pulling us together, no matter how much we try to resist it.”

His hand was firm in mine as he spun me around the empty hall, our bodies moving in perfect rhythm. I wasn’t even sure how we’d ended up here—away from the main prom room, where faint music drifted in from behind thick doors—but this felt like a different world. A private one. A world where only the two of us existed, connected in this unspoken, dizzying energy.

“Forget everything else for a moment,” he said, his voice a gentle murmur just above the beat of my racing heart. “Forget that we shouldn’t be doing this. Just focus on how we move… the fire between us.”

He twirled me again, this time faster, and my balance faltered. A sharp gasp escaped my lips—but before I could even stumble, his arm wrapped around my waist with quick precision. He held me steady against him, close enough that I could feel the heat of his chest.

“Careful there,” he teased, lips curled into that maddening smirk of his. “Wouldn’t want you falling for me now, would we?”

I steadied my breath, forcing myself to meet his gaze.

“I’m not falling for you,” I muttered, voice quiet. “I know you’re just toying with me. I’ll treat all of this like a dream… a blurry, distant daze.”

His laugh was low, warm, and annoyingly amused.

“Oh? Is that what you believe?” he said, eyes narrowing with playful sharpness. “Just a dream, hmm? A game I’m playing?”

With another spin, he pulled me into a whirlwind of motion. My feet barely touched the ground. Everything else—walls, lights, time—blurred into insignificance. There was only him. His scent, his touch, the focused intensity of his eyes. I didn’t know if I was falling or flying.

“I see it in your eyes,” he murmured as I landed back in his arms. “That hesitation every time I touch you. You're trying to resist, but you can’t. You’re drawn to me. Just like I am to you.”

My breath caught in my throat. He was right. I hated that he was right.

He spun me again, and this time, he lifted me into the air, spinning me in slow circles like I weighed nothing. I gasped softly, instinctively clinging to him as his arms held me with unwavering strength.

“I can feel it,” he whispered in my ear. “The spark. The way our bodies move together—it’s like we’re made for this.”

He held me there, suspended, while his breath brushed against my skin. I was overwhelmed by the intimacy of it all—the closeness, the fire in his voice, the pounding of my heart that seemed to echo off the walls.

“It’s like we were meant to dance like this,” he said, his tone rough, almost like a growl. “Tangled in the dark, wrapped around each other.”

The scent of him hit me—spicy and warm, with a sweetness I couldn’t quite place. I could feel the beat of his heart against my chest, the heat of his body seeping into mine. Everything about him was pulling me in, like he was trying to carve himself into my memory.

He whispered. “Let yourself sink into this. Forget the world, and just feel. Feel me. Us.”

We moved again, slower this time. His body molded into mine, fitting too perfectly. Every brush of his hand sent a jolt down my spine. The distant prom music was still playing somewhere behind us, but here in this moment, it was almost silent—except for our breaths.

He guided us in another smooth circle, and suddenly, it felt like there was no space left between us. He held me like he’d never let go, his warmth flooding through every part of me.

“Can you feel it?” he asked again, his breath hot against my neck. “That pull between us… like we’re meant to be.”

I said nothing, but my silence didn’t stop him. He kept leading the dance, and I kept following, because I didn’t know how not to.

“Forget your duties,” he said gently. “Your fears, your rules. Just… feel the way we fit together. Like we’ve done this a hundred times before.”

With every spin, the world faded further away. I felt light. I felt dizzy. I felt like I was unraveling in his arms. And then he did something that made my heart freeze.

He tilted my chin upward, lifting my gaze to meet his. His eyes locked onto mine with an intensity that left me breathless, as if he was trying to read my soul without saying a word.

I didn’t say anything—I couldn’t. I just looked back, unsure if I was trembling from nerves or something else entirely.

“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered, almost like a secret he was afraid to say out loud. “And so… fascinating. I can’t stop looking at you. You’ve got this hold on me I don’t understand.”

His hand reached up, brushing the side of my cheek with featherlight fingers. The touch was so gentle, so intimate, that I felt a lump rise in my throat.

“You’re not like anyone I’ve ever met,” he went on, his voice deep and intense. “You’re strong. Mysterious. And I want to know everything about you. Every single thing about you, Aria.”

The dance continued, his movements smooth and hypnotic, like water flowing in slow motion. I was caught in him, consumed by the rhythm, the silence, the pressure in my chest that made it hard to breathe.

“I don’t want to stop,” he murmured. “I want to keep dancing with you. Keep holding you like this. Nothing else matters.”

And then—he lifted me again.

My breath caught as he held me mid-air, his grip sure and unwavering. My arms instinctively wrapped around his neck for support, and our faces—our lips—were suddenly so close. Too close.

I didn’t move. Neither did he.

We just stared, breaths mingling, suspended in this surreal space where time stopped. His gaze held mine like a lifeline, and I didn’t dare break it.

And then—it happened.

I don’t know who moved first. Maybe it was him. Maybe it was me. Or maybe it was both of us, drawn by something too powerful to name. But suddenly, our lips were on each other’s in a kiss that was slow, aching, and impossibly deep.

Still in his arms, still spinning in lazy circles, I melted into him. The kiss wasn’t rushed. It wasn’t desperate. It was full of all the unspoken things we hadn’t dared to say. And nothing else mattered.

Not who started it.

Not who we were.

Not what came next.

Only this.

His kiss deepened, his lips pressing more firmly against mine, and then I felt the brush of his tongue—gentle, seeking, full of emotion. My body answered on its own, responding to the warmth, the pressure, the way his hand tightened at my waist as if trying to pull me even closer.

The heat between us was unbearable and thrilling. My heart was racing, my skin tingling, every inch of me alive with sensation. His touch was like fire, his kiss a wildfire I had no will to extinguish.

We weren’t thinking anymore. Just feeling...feeling and feeling.

And in that moment, I knew—this wasn’t just a dance... wasn't just a kiss.

It was a confession.

A silent surrender.

Two universities.

Love, power, and chaos collide here.

Redvers University bred kings. Cresswell trained wolves.

Throw in a broody president who's always about perfection, authority & control, a secretary whose sweet smile masks his manipulative soul, a cunning treasurer making properties with necklaces, and a silent VP who climbs trees to escape the drama-and that's just Redvers' Supreme Student Council, where the student council runs the school like royalty and chaos is a daily subject.

Secret relationships? Check. Mafia heiress? Oh yes. A spy from the rival university posing as a student? Absolutely. Gambling while placing yourself on line? Totally. Co-parenting without being parents? Why not?

But when Cresswell University crashes the scene with their own elite squad-including a grim reaper like a bodyguard, a fairytale prince, a so-done president, a fist-fight girlie, a terrifying secretary and his shy girlfriend-things are about to get delightfully messy.

Everyone's grown up.
Or at least pretending to be.

And somewhere between stolen glances and student council wars, love bloomed where no one expected it to survive.

It's war, love, and ridiculously attractive chaos.

Because in this world, love isn't simple. It's Supreme. And it's very, very complicated and tangled.

Let the Supreme Chaos begin!
