Chapter 5 - A Dance with My Dear Nemesis

Chapter 5 - A Dance with My Dear Nemesis

May 12, 2025

Aria's POV:

I was completely lost in him.

His touch was intoxicating—every brush of his fingers across my skin sent ripples of heat coursing through me. His lips claimed mine again and again, deepening the kiss until I couldn’t remember where I ended and he began. My fingers tangled in his hair as if anchoring myself to the only thing that felt real in that moment—him.

Time dissolved. The room, the music, the noise—all of it vanished. There was only us. My body pressed into his, instinctively matching his rhythm, responding to every move, every kiss, every lingering touch. It was maddening, overwhelming, and yet…I didn’t want it to stop.

His mouth moved against mine with a fervent hunger, his tongue sweeping past my lips, exploring, tasting—taking. My heart pounded in my ears, breath caught in my throat, every sense consumed by the searing heat between us. His hands slid over my waist, then down my back, tugging me closer, impossibly closer, until there wasn’t a whisper of space left between us.

A tremor passed through me as one of his hands slid into my hair, gripping it gently, tilting my head just enough to deepen the kiss further. The other settled firmly on my hip, pulling me flush against him. His body was solid—warm muscle and tension pressed against me. I could feel every inch of him, and it made my pulse thrum with something I couldn’t name, didn’t dare to.

I could barely think. I was drowning in him—his scent, his taste, his touch. His hands roamed, leaving behind trails of fire that made my breath hitch, my knees weak. Every inch of me felt awakened, as if I’d been asleep all my life and only now opened my eyes.

His lips found the curve of my jaw, trailing down to my throat. I gasped as his mouth grazed the sensitive skin there, my head tipping back instinctively. His fingers traced the contours of my body with such desperate urgency it sent shivers up my spine.

My heart ached with the intensity of it all—the yearning, the fear, the helpless surrender I was falling into.

And then…

“Isaiah…” I whispered, my voice shaky. “Stop… enough…”

I pressed my palm against his mouth, gently halting him.

“Don’t do something we’ll both come to regret…” I breathed, barely finding my voice. “Let’s stop here…”

His movements stilled. Slowly, he pulled back, reluctant and breathless, his eyes heavy with unspoken emotion. His chest rose and fell rapidly, matching my own uneven breathing. For a few seconds, neither of us said a word. We just stood there, inches apart, the tension between us thick enough to drown in.

I kept my hand against his lips a moment longer before letting it fall, and still, he didn’t speak. His eyes—so dark, so conflicted—remained locked on mine.

Then, in a voice barely above a whisper, he said, “I… I’m sorry.”

My breath caught.

“I got carried away.” He reached up and brushed a strand of hair from my cheek, his touch unexpectedly soft.

I couldn’t say anything. My throat felt tight, my chest even tighter.

He let out a shaky breath. “I don’t know what came over me,” he murmured. “I just… lost myself for a moment.”

I finally managed a quiet, broken reply. “It’s fine… Let’s just stop here… while we still can.”

My voice was barely a whisper, but I meant every word.

Then I leaned forward, resting my forehead gently on his shoulder, closing my eyes. I could feel the steady thump of his heartbeat beneath my cheek.

He hesitated only a second before wrapping his arms around me, pulling me close. His body trembled ever so slightly, the remnants of the moment still clinging to us like the echo of a storm. One of his hands moved in slow circles across my back, soothing, grounding, like he was trying to calm not just me—but himself too.

And in the silence that followed, I stayed there, tucked into him, eyes shut tight, heart pounding and mind spinning, trying to make sense of everything that had just happened between us.

Two universities.

Love, power, and chaos collide here.

Redvers University bred kings. Cresswell trained wolves.

Throw in a broody president who's always about perfection, authority & control, a secretary whose sweet smile masks his manipulative soul, a cunning treasurer making properties with necklaces, and a silent VP who climbs trees to escape the drama-and that's just Redvers' Supreme Student Council, where the student council runs the school like royalty and chaos is a daily subject.

Secret relationships? Check. Mafia heiress? Oh yes. A spy from the rival university posing as a student? Absolutely. Gambling while placing yourself on line? Totally. Co-parenting without being parents? Why not?

But when Cresswell University crashes the scene with their own elite squad-including a grim reaper like a bodyguard, a fairytale prince, a so-done president, a fist-fight girlie, a terrifying secretary and his shy girlfriend-things are about to get delightfully messy.

Everyone's grown up.
Or at least pretending to be.

And somewhere between stolen glances and student council wars, love bloomed where no one expected it to survive.

It's war, love, and ridiculously attractive chaos.

Because in this world, love isn't simple. It's Supreme. And it's very, very complicated and tangled.

Let the Supreme Chaos begin!
