I loved Siamese Dream back in high school. I thought that Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness had some better songs, but was not a better album.
"Disarm" is hands down my favorite Smashing Pumpkins song, followed closely by "Bullet with Butterfly Wings."
This week, that ended when Billy Corgan went on Alex Jones's show and complained about how hard it is to live in a society where you can't look down on someone you don't like. Somehow equality means the government censors him.
That nonsensical sentence is the core of the argument of people who complain about being politically correct.
The first Amendment does not nor has ever meant that you can say whatever you want. It just means that the government won't censor you. It also means you have to live with the consequences of your horrible opinions.
Sorry, Billy, I don't think I can enjoy "Disarm," one of the best songs of the Grunge era, like I used to because of the consequence of your free speech.
