HazelWing (P.O.V)~

Beautiful emerald green leaves cover the sky with peaks of sunlight coming through, warming my skin. The wind blows through my fur, cooling my body heat. My heart is pounding through my chest, running with adrenaline. 

‘This…is freedom.’

My paws push me forward, making me feel like I'm taking leaps through the air. 

‘I feel like I'm flying…’

“SLOW DOWN! LET ME CATCH UP!”

I slow down my leaping to a trot. I came to a stop and slowly turned around so my apprentice could catch up. 

“As a warrior MoonFall, I can't believe you are this slow. How are you gonna get away from foxes if they chase you?”

MoonFall pants, sighs and shakes her head. “You know you are the fastest cat in our clan! I won't be able to be as fast as you, ya know?”

I slightly giggle and nod my head, I was just messing around. “I know, that's why we are here. I need to make sure you still remember the things I taught you.”

“You know they will never slip my mind, right?”

I smile slightly at my apprentice. 

‘Too adorable…’

I put my paw on top of her head and slightly moved her fur back and forth across her head. “Of course, but you know how I am. I will always be worried until I check for myself.” 

I put my paw back to my side on the ground and sat down. She sat down with me and sighed. “Yeah, but are you worried about me or something else? You wouldn't be doing this with me if you were really about me. You would come to check on me and make sure I'm not doing anything dumb. So what are you really worried about? You can tell me.”

I squinted my eyebrows and looked away from her. 

I sighed and shook my head slightly at MoonFall. “It’s really nothing, I just wanted to chill out in the forest with you for once since you're usually so busy”. I smirked when I saw her pout at me. 

“Well, someone has to keep the clan safe! You know how it is.”

I nodded my head sagely, rubbing my chin. “Yes, I do. But you also need to take breaks once in a while so you can protect those you need to.”

“You're right.”

I hopped up and chuckled, “I always am, now come on! The last one back to the clan borders is a rat!”

I took off running before I even started a countdown. 

“YOU'RE SUCH A CHEATER!”

“ALL IS FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR!!”

[P.O.V Change]

The scene fades as we see CloverMoss heading towards the medicine den. 

We see PrismrosePetal back, she would be talking to HawkSpear. 

“Thank you so much for your help PrismrosePetal.” She added while giving a warm smile on her face.

HawkSpear, would look down at LavenderKit, as she nuzzled her gently. 

“It's no problem, that's what my job is all about.” PrismrosePetal replied. 

PrismrosePetal paused for a while, “plus I like taking care of other cats.” She smiled. 

HawkSpear notices another cat, as she smiles. “Looks like we have a visitor.”. 

PrismrosePetal turns around as she sees CloverMoss, she smiles warmly as she walks her way to her. 

“Hey PrismrosePetal”. 

“Hey CloverMoss”. 

CloverMoss fidgets a bit with her paws. 

“So what brings you here at the medicine den? Did you get hurt?” PrismrosePetal tilted her head as she glanced over at CloverMoss. 

“Oh… Well.. I wanted to just come say hi and see how you are doing.” CloverMoss smiles a bit as she slightly blushes. 

“So you didn't come to see HawkSpear’s kit?”. 

“Ohh- No no no! I came to see that too.”. 

“Hey, not too loud CloverMoss.. I just got LavenderKit to fall asleep.” HawkSpear smiled slightly. 

“Sorry.” 

“HawkSpear, mind if we went outside of the med?” 

“Not at all.”. 

PrismrosePetal and CloverMoss would leave the medicine den as they stand right nearby it. 

“Sorry…about that.”. 

“It's no big deal,” PrismrosePetal added. “Also, I'm doing alright by the way.”. 

“That's good…..”CloverMoss paused for a bit. “Erhmm.. also I wanted to ask if you would be free this late afternoon?”. 

“Hmm.. I should be… Why do you ask?” PrismrosePetal tilted her head. 

“Well…” CloverMoss fidgeted her paws on the ground, “just thought maybe we could hang out for a bit.” 

“That's cool. I would be glad to hang out with you. We could also bring HazelWing if they is fre-.” 

“Ah no- I mean… yeah.. But I wanted to… just us to hang out.” 

“Well… I was hoping to spend time with my friend, but you're also my friend, so… Sure! We can hang out.” PrismrosePetal smiled. 

“That's great! I'll go get ready.” CloverMoss runs off, as PrismrosePetal heads back inside the medicine den. 

She then notices PebbleStone. “Oh sorry, I didn't notice you came in.” 

“It's all good, anyways I didn't really hear much of your conversation with CloverMoss.. bu-” 

“Oh sorry, I should have asked first, do you mind watching over, this late afternoon?”. 

PebbleStone looked at PrismrosePetal, before he sighed. “I don’t mind, although I feel like you shouldn't hang out with CloverMoss.” 

“Huh? Why is that?” 

“... It's nothing.” 

“No… really you can't do this to me again.” PrismrosePetal wined. 

“Still not telling” 

The voices would slowly fade, as the scene fades slowly. 

“Please?” 

“Nope” 

“Come'on…” 

“And still a no.”. 

The scene would change.

HazelWing runs out into the clearing. They slow down and stop, waiting for MoonFall to arrive at her side. After waiting for a few seconds, they realized that MoonFall still wasn't here. 

They turned around and looked past the trees, into the forest, trying to see if they could spot her. 

In the distance, HazelWing spots MoonFall panting and walking slowly to them and into the clearing. 

HazelWing frowns inwardly to herself. ‘Maybe I should have slowed down for her? But it is for her training, she needs better stamina.’

HazelWing stops talking to herself and laughs at MoonFall. Seeing her fall down to the ground and rest, HazelWing couldn't stop laughing.

After she got her rest, MoonFall sighed and squinted at her mentor…. and the deputy. 

“You really just had to put the boost on at the last second? I was gonna win the race!” 

HazelWing, who was dying of laughter, finally stopped after they heard MoonFall talk to her. 

They sat up straighter and cleared their throat. “Well, I kind of assumed you already knew that I was playing with you and just went on ahead and won. Did you think you would actually win?” HazelWing looked at her, questioning her. 

MoonFall stood up slowly, trying to steady her feet. 

“No, but I thought you would go easy on me for once.”

HazelWing glanced back towards the clan and shook their head.

“You should always push yourself to your limits, even if it just may be a game.” they said ominously. 

MoonFall looked at them for a few seconds and laughed. 

“You can never be easy-going, can you? Plus, don't you have an apprentice to teach?”

HazelWing flings their head back to MoonFall. 

“What are you talking about? Don't you also have an apprentice to teach my lessons to? And I'm pretty sure they are waiting for you right now.”

When MoonFall heard that, her eyes widened. She ran past HazelWing.

“TigerPaw! I'm coming! Wait for me! I promise I didn't forget!”

HazelWing watched as MoonFall was running towards the place she was supposed to meet her apprentice.

“Well, before I head in to check in with the leader, let me make sure everyone else is doing fine.”

HazelWing walks around the clan slowly, checking in on the warriors and apprentices. 

They went to have a quick peek at MoonFall to see if she made it to TigerPaw, and it looked like she was teaching her correctly.

HazelWing watched MoonFall teach TigerPaw for a few minutes before they glanced up at the sky and saw the sun in the high sky, more towards the west side of the clan. 

HazelWing gracefully got up and headed in one direction, “Let me see how PrismrosePetal is doing.”
