When Will and Rafi told Sam that his family has been lying to him for almost a decade. He doesn't speak a match.

At first he was in denial, how could his family do that to him? He agreed to their terms in the hope for freedom. 

And then comes the anger… they never had planned to let him go. If it is not Will thanks they are still trying to pimp him out for creeps.

He was so distracted at work that the director sent him home for the day. 

Will had to stay and film his scenes so Dani picked him up and stayed with him at Will and his apartment.

“It so fuck up” Dani said.

He and Dani were lying down in Sam's bed.

“I knew for a long time that they never cared about me, they only cared about what I could get them.” Sam said bitterly. “If that had not been for Will I still had been under their roof. Agreed to every whimsy. If Will hadn't pulled me out I don't know where I would have been today.” Sam said.

Tears falling down his eyes. He felt anger, he felt hopeless, he felt broken. He didn't how he ever put his pieces together.

When Will takes him out from his family home. His family has not been happy about that, they said he only needs to move in with his mate. What a hypocrite on their part after all the things they mead Sam do since his present as Omega. They threatened to take him to court and prove he was not fit to make decisions for himself.

They agreed to let him live with Will only if they had full access to his assets. 

They also agree to release him from the agreement only once once he found his mate.

He only went to the program because he believed it was his last chance. What he didn't know was his own family had blocked him from joining it in the first place.

He waited over eight years for an answer that was never going to come.

“Perhaps I was cursed From that start. Perhaps my only purpose is to be used by my family for their own benefit.” Sam said.

“That is a terrible thing to say,” said Dani. “When I was attacked… It was just a few people. not my family, not friends. But the therapy court made me go. They said I was lucky because my case is one time thing.” Dani said bitterly. “How do you decide that? How can you say that to someone who has been betrayed by someone he trusts?” he added. Tears streamed down his face as the words left his mouth, quiet but heavy. He didn't try to wipe them away.

“Talking about terrible things to say...” Sam said, his voice rough. “There is no luck, those things were never supposed to happen in the first place.” 

Dani and Sam shared their traumas with each other.

The pain they endured, the way  it had shaped them, how they had felt then and how they still felt now.

They talk about their coping mechanisms, their regards, their fears. And when there are no more words left, 

They fell asleep, emotionally exhausted, drained by the weight of their memories, their sorrow, and the tears they could no longer hold back.

Will picked up Rafi on the way home.

Rafi glanced at Dani and Sami's room. They sound asleep.

“Poor souls, they’ve had a rough day” Rafi said in a breaking voice. It's always killing him; he could never take Dani's pain away.

And now Sam. 

He and Ari wanted to speed things up for him, but they discovered he had never been registered for the program in the first place.

He thought turning to Will for advice on how to approach Sam would help. But Will’s response raised suspicion, and Sam demanded to know what was going on.

“They are brave.” Will said.

He refused to consider them as victims. He was determined to help them live lives free from stigma. Sam was his best friend, the brother he had always wanted. And Dani… even though he had known him for only a few weeks, he was starting to like him.

He was starting to like him. He was kind and thoughtful, and most importantly,he refused to give up on himself.

“No one should have to go through what they went through.” Will added.

“ Thank you for saying that.” Rafi said. It was refreshing to hear an Alpha spike like that. Most of them don't say anything about it , or they ask why you don't get up and leave.

“Of course,” Will said, his expression lighting up. “if I could do something, I would…” He clenched his fists in frustration.

Rafi placed a hand on his clenched fist.

“There’s something we can do. And we'll do it.” Rafi said.

“What do you have in mind?” Will asked.

“We'll re-registered him for the program.” Rafi said.

“And what if we run into the same obstacle as before.” Will said. “What if this gets back to Sam's family and they try to sabotage it again?” he asked. Angry at the thought of Sam's family interfering in his life again.

“We won't,” Rafi said. “and if we have to, we'll register him under a fake name.”

“Is that possible?” Will asked skeptically.

“My brother could help us with that.”  said Rafi.

“When do you think you will be able to make it happen?” Will asked, determined to find a solution as quickly as possible.

“I sent him a message right now.”  said Rafi, while texting.

“Tell him I’m willing to pay any price he wants.” Will said, his tone slightly desperate.

Rafi chuckled, “My brother has everything money can buy. He prefers a favor for a favor,” When Will gives him a worried look he added. “I cannot promise you that the favor will be within your comfort zone… but he will not ask you to do anything illegal.”

“Ok… anything he wants.” Will agreed.

He checked his phone, “My brother said he will give us an answer.” He said.

For a moment, they both stood in the living room, staring at each other.

Rafi was the first to break eye contact. He let out a nervous laugh and asked, “Why don't we cook something comforting for them?”

Will gave him a puzzled look. “Why does everything with you guys start and end with food?”

Rafi laughed again and gave him a little push.

To Will's surprise he found Rafi adorable. What was unusual compared to other encounters with other people.

“Because it's yummy? Everything could be better with delicious food.”Rafi said jokingly.

“I wish I could live with that philosophy,” Will replied sarcastically.

Rafi took Will's hand and pulled him toward the kitchen.

After Sam invited him to their apartment, it was easy to feel at home.

He already knew where everything should be in the kitchen.

He took out a pot and found a cutting board and knife with ease.

He turned to Will and asked him, “ what do you think about today’s dish of vegetable soup and grilled toast.”

“I see you guys really love grilled toast… uh,” Will said.

“It's the tastiest way to eat mozzarella after pizza,” Rafi answered. “Just don't tell Gabi I said that…I will never hear the end of it.” he added.

Will laughed and helped Rafi to put the ingredients on the counter. “I'm sorry to say, but it seems we are out of bread and mozzarella,” Will said.

“I guess we'll need to put another plate on the table,” Rafi said, pulling out his phone to text Ari… “Make that two plates. Ari will come with Adam.”

After about twenty minutes, Rafael finished adding the last ingredients to the pot and let the soup simmer on the stove.

He turned around and saw Will watching him intently. Rafael blushed and asked, "Is everything okay?"

Will nodded but continued to look at Rafael. "You're not like other people who come from your background. I've seen quite a few who throw money at others to do simple tasks for them."

"You're right, but it's not just me. The four of us—Dani, Rafi, Gabi, and I—before we finished high school, we wanted to be more independent, so we made a list of things regular people do. You know… cooking for yourself, doing laundry, navigating a new place. I even worked for a while as a waiter at the restaurant where Gabi was doing his internship," Rafael said.

Will looked at him in a new light, an impressed smile spreading across his face. "Wow… is there anything you do not know how to do?" His question made Rafael chuckle shyly.

"Driving…" Daniel said from behind him, interrupting Will and Rafael’s first steps toward a relationship that was barely beginning.

"Dani, you’re awake? How are you feeling?" Rafael asked with concern.

Daniel sighed and said, "I’ll live. Don’t look at me like that—do you want me to go back to the room so you two can go back to flirting?" he teased them, just to take the worried looks off their faces.

There was a long silence in which they neither denied nor confirmed anything.

"Is anyone else coming?" Daniel asked when he saw the table Will had set.

"Ari and Adam are on their way," Rafael replied.

Rafael’s phone rang, and he answered.

“Say I am the king,” Ryan said on the other end of the line.

“That depends—did you succeed?” Rafael asked him.

“Of course I did.”

“And it will all stay discreet?”

“No one will know who he is until there is a match,They are expecting you. Tomorrow at noon.” Ryan confirmed.

“Your Highness, thank you very much for the help,” Rafael said with a smile.

“That is just who I am—always kind to my minions…” Ryan said, and Rafael laughed.

“I have to get back to work… I will tell you next time what the price is… XO, little brother.” Ryan said and hung up.

Will and Daniel looked at Rafael, waiting for him to spill what—or who—he was talking about on the phone.

“My brother arranged a discreet appointment for Sam tomorrow morning at the MMS lab,” he said with a smile.

Will could not believe he managed to pull that off on such short notice.

“Shit…” Will suddenly remembered. “Tomorrow at that time I have to be on set…”

“No worries, Rafi and I can take him,” Daniel said.

“Maybe we can turn it into a little day trip… go for the test and then come back to my place,” Rafael said. “We could show Sam the treehouse…” he added with excitement.

When Ariel and Adam arrived, Adam volunteered to make the grilled toast, and Daniel went to wake up Sam.

Sam came out of the room and saw everyone waiting for him, trying to comfort him with encouraging words.

Will and Rafael surprised him by managing to arrange an appointment for him at MMS so he could take the tests.

Rafael and Daniel promised to take him there, and Rafael also promised him a surprise afterward.

The next evening, Will and Sam met at the apartment and shared how their day had gone.

"...After that, Rafi took me to his parents' house. He wanted to show me their treehouse," Sam said.

"Yeah, he mentioned something about that yesterday."

"Well, if you call a three-room cabin built on two trees with electricity and running water a 'treehouse'..." Sam said, and Will's mouth dropped open in shock.

"They told me Gabi's dad built the treehouse so it connects their properties... They all live in the same neighborhood."

Will was still speechless, so Sam continued.

"They live in a nice neighborhood, gated with security. And I have to say, you really lucked out when it comes to in-laws.”

When Sam entered Rafael's house, he was surprised by how warm and close-knit the family was. Even the household staff had friendly, familiar relationships with the homeowners.

What surprised him even more was that most of them were fans of the soap opera he and Will starred in. They were very excited to meet him and lit up when he agreed to take pictures with them or sign autographs.

"What about you? How were the shoots?" Sam asked him.

Will told him about how the filming went and how the show's writers managed to cover for his absence by writing in that his character had gone to 'find himself' in some exotic location.

They laughed about it a little, and then Will told him about the progress on the special episode and how the rest of the cast was handling it.
