Alister walked out the back of the club mask in hand, his destination his home. Outside the club mountains of trash and scraps could be seen with various lights from shops and homes that the poor built in order to have some form of a normal life. Taking a left at a pile of old cars Alister saw his home, a small metal shed next to a large workshop. Walking through the door Alister saw that his small room was cleaned. “Emerald must have come by,” Alister muttered while sitting on his bed looking around. His house was about the size of a studio apartment with not much inside, being the minimalist he is outside his work and designs he doesn't need a lot. Alister noticed his jacket hanging off a hook on the back of his front door, stitches could be seen where it had been sewed together.
Scratching his head, Alister walked through a side door into his workshop, several tools and piles of scraps littered his shop, a motorcycle hung off chains half put together. Turning on his music and turning it loud, he set his mask to the side and got to work on a few of his projects. Alister set out to replace the frost capsules he used along with a few extras that had different features. He tacked up a blueprint labeled RailGun onto his cork board next to another blueprint with the name Feedback.
After working for a few hours, Alister heard loud bangs at the door to his shop. He tried to ignore it but the banging continued until his frustration got the better of him. Putting on his mask he pulled a chain causing the door to slide up on a track, while shouting “WHAT?”. Emerald and Maple stood there, one with food the other with the face buffer. “Figured you'd only be working and not eating or sleeping so we brought food and that buffer you stole, also take off that stupid mask” Emerald snapped shoving the food into Alisters hands and walking in. Maple sat the buffer down on a nearby table and took a look around the shop.
Alister took his mask off and picked up the buffer carrying it to his tool table. Maple picked up the mask and looked at it curious as to what made it tic. Various circuits covered the inside of the mask with two metal disks at the temples and a small black box at the forehead. “Hey Alister, what's with all this extra stuff on your mask? Not the wires but the disks and box?” Maple asked, walking over with the mask. Without taking his eyes off the buffer that he was stripping, Alister explained. “I'll only say this once cuz your friends with Emerald. The disks send a small jolt of electricity that causes my hair to stand on end, the box is a small holographic projector to change my hair color and my scars, that's why I wear my mask when doing my jobs.” Alister explained while taking out a small chip from the buffer.
Emerald let out a light chuckle causing Alister and Maple to look at her. “He's not telling you the whole truth behind the electric disks but he did explain the basics of it,” Emerald explained to Maple, while Alister just stared at her. “Don't make that face with me, just cuz you can't show emotions doesn't mean I can't tell what you're thinking.” Emerald snapped as Alister went to put the chip into his computer. “Wait, why can't you show your emotions without the mask?” Maple asked, but Alister ignored the question not wanting to answer. Only two other people knew about Alisters past and he doesn't plan on sharing it with Maple anytime soon. As Maple went to pester Alister to get an answer, a bang at the and someone shouting Emeralds name caught the trio's attention.
