Chapter- 10:

Getting closer.

I stare at baby xien, siting in the living room floor. Reilivon chuckles as he looks down at me.

"You look like a curious little pup, y' know? It's kinda cute." He smiles, sincerely.

I glare up at him as I get up and see baby xien's sleeping face. So cute...

"If anyone is cute here, it's this little guy." 

Reilivon looks at baby xien as well and chuckles fondly.

"Guess so."

I look outside the window. It seems to be raining. The time is currently 2 am. It's surprising that I'm still up. I say.

"How long do you think it'll rain?"

Reilivon looks down at me, pondering for a moment.

"Maybe for 4-5 hours at most."

I tremble hearing the sound of thunder. It really brings back bad memories... I look down, slightly nauseous.

Reilivon catches onto my expression and holds me, slightly concerned.

"You okay?" He says, his tone gentle and concerned.

I flinch as I look up at him and groan, standing up straight.

“I'm fine. Just don't touch me.“ I smack his hand away from my shoulder.

Reilivon frowns as he looks down at me. And he grabs my wrist, feeling annoyed.

“Why are you like this? We'll be with each other every second of the day so why even stay away from me?“ 

I glare up at him and pull my hand away as I say, my tone annoyed.

“I don't care if you want to be friends or whatever. I just want my own peace so just… leave me alone!“ I yell out.

Reilivon gets startled by my outburst as he looks down at me and groans at my stubbornness.

“Why are you being so stubborn? What did I ever do to you anyway?“

I groan, my eyebrows furrowing. I don't know why, but I just find him very annoying… I grumble.

“Just… leave me alone.“

Reilivon looks away, as he says. Turning around.

“I'm… heading to my room. Stay over the night, okay? Just wanted to tell you.“

I look down at the ground and then up again at the dark cloudly sky. It's raining so much too. I look down at baby xien as I kneel and pick him up. 

“Guess I'm staying over the night. I'll keep you with me, I guess.“

I hold baby xien in my arms as I head over to the guest room, this penthouse is quite huge. I open the guest room door and head inside as I stretch and place baby xien beside me, laying down with him. 

I stare at him for awhile as I sigh and turn towards the window and see the rainy night. It's… quite calming… being raised as an assassin made me look everything at a different perspective… I was taught to kill anyone who disobeys us. That's the kind of lifestyle I've lived up until that bastard entered my life. And I've rarely been on assassination tasks by myself anymore. 

I know I'm doing the same work since then… but… it feels nice, to have someone.

Unintentionally, I smile as I doze off. In tranquility.

I yawn as I wake up and stretch, looking down beside me I see baby xien sleeping, and it brings a warm smile to my face. I look outside and see that the rain has stopped. 

I let out a sigh as I get up and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Luckily, there is an extra toothbrush. I use it and see how disheveled my hair and clothes are. It's the first time in awhile that I've had a good sleep. I fix my hair and use some guest clothes in the cupboard. 

I head outside the room and see Uncle Iloncer making breakfast, Uncle Hivolti watching the TV. I can't seem to find that bastard anywhere tho.

I walk over to Uncle Iloncer and say, itching my stomach.

“Uncle, is that idiot still not up yet?“

Iloncer chuckles as he looks up at me and says.

“Indeed he still isn't. Can you go wake him up for me?“ 

I nod as I yawn again and head upstairs, this penthouse has three damn floors. Damn. I want a rich family too. I reach the second floor and boy, are there many doors. I blink a few times as I walk around and spot a nameplate with 'Reilivon Recardoz' huh. I guess their so rich that they even have nameplate for their rooms. 

I knock the door and seeing that nobody responds. I figure that bastard is still asleep. I open the door and see, Reilivon snoring as he sleeps peacefully. I grit my teeth, he looks annoying like this too. I walk over and glare down at him.

“Bastard! Wake up!“

I get no response as I growl in irritation, my alpha instincts feeling annoyed as well. I lean down closer as I yell.

“WAKE UP YOU, BASTAR-”

Reilivon groans as he wakes up and looks up at me. I only then realize how close are faces are. Not knowing what to say, We both just stare at each other.
