After having lunch and spending some time with them, they went home.
– Welcome back, Han and Dracarus. Did you have fun there? – Khaos asked, reading a book with Musa.
– Yeah. – Dracarus answered.
– What about you, Han?
Han didn’t answer. He just looked her in the eyes and left for his room.
– …Yeah, it seems like someone didn’t enjoy it much. – She handed the book to Musa and got up. – By the way, I have a new mission for both of you tonight.
– Oh, talking about missions… I saw someone today at the exhibition, and this person’s name was Moon. I find it quite weird regarding The Shadow of The Moon’s case. I also tried looking for the person after that but when I noticed, he had already left without a trace.
– Hmm, I see. I honestly think we can let that case rest for a bit since the killer seems off his missions now. It’s not too troublesome too since he kills people who are wanted dead.
– Alright, as you wish.

At 10 p.m., Dracarus went to Han’s room.
– What do you want?
– We have to go clear the mission, it’s already 10 p.m.
– Alright, let me just dress up. It’s cold outside.
After twenty minutes, they were already at the mission location.
– Okay so, we need to exterminate the man that lives here, right? – Han asked, before opening the door.
– Yeah, Khaos said he is a wanted serial killer from the Floris nation.
They entered the man’s house which was weirdly too quiet.
– I feel like someone already killed him for us. – Dracarus supposed, recharging the gun.
– What? Are you still thinking about that Moon’s Shadow person? Seriously?
– …
In the kitchen, they saw the man’s body above the dining table. Lifeless.
– I told you.
– Man, are you connected to that killer or what? How did you know about this?! – Han was slightly creeped out.
– It’s not too hard, the place was quiet enough and I smelled blood. – Dracarus explained, walking towards the body.
– Oh right, I forgot we have a vampire here. – Han said, ironically calling him a vampire.
Saying this, they went near the man’s body to demolish his blood traces and send his body to Khaos’ domain.
That was when Dracarus noticed something unusual from The Moon’s Shadow cases. There was a flower on top of the paper, it seemed like she was purposely put there. The most shocking part was what he read on the other side of the paper and that he recognised that flower.
– Han! Come look at this.
– What is it? Why do you look so horrified? – Han picked up the paper from his hand.
– This flower is for you, Dracarus. …So? – Han was unfazed. He supposed the executioner was only being kind to him.
– The flower… It’s the same as Eclipse’s last work. A white lily. – He answered, quite frightened. His spine got chills.
Dracarus glanced over the man’s neck and torso. It was terribly ripped apart. “ …?! He was brutally executed as well…”
– Ah, I see… Are you supposing she’s the murderer?
– Maybe… or maybe not. When I was admiring her new piece, a person came to me and said his name was Moon.
– That means they’re connected, right? – Han realised.
– Eclipse’s either the murderer or in danger.
– … So, will you take the flower or not?
– What?
– They gave it to you.
– Oh, right… – Dracarus had dissociated for a bit. – I will. – hiding his gun.
– We need to talk to Khaos about this.
Dracarus nodded. “ …I wonder what’s the meaning and answer to all of this.” He thought to himself. “There’s no way… Is it– really her?!” He couldn’t believe she would do such a thing.

The Executioner
– Well… Maybe I should start humbling myself. – I picked up my knife and put it in my leg pocket. – Agh, why do I even keep using knives… My powers are already strong enough.
I still put the knife there… just in case something happened.
“I can’t keep this lie for too long… Especially with Dracarus.” My feelings for him kept on growing, but I couldn’t stop myself because of that.
“Maybe I should put up a game to see his reaction… Who knows if it will make him stop being kind once he realises the truth.”
That orchid has been lurking around too much as well… It won’t take long to end her life so it’s also not that bad if they actually start finding out the truth… I can’t say the same about my friends though…
“It’s been two years since everything started… they will probably hate me when they find out… Especially now that that bitch decided to make things worse.”
I picked up my mask and put it on my face, hiding my hair with the hood.
– As for the Goddess and the investigators, they’re quite slow, I must admit… – I picked up the cold lily and hid it on my hood. – Maybe this will accelerate the process. The end will be the same anyways, helping them or not.

As I arrived at the man’s house, someone called me.
– Yeah, I’m here, what is it? – I asked, looking around to make sure no one saw me.
– He must be inside already, but be careful in case one of them appears. His execution day was today. – He explained.
– Okay, thank you.
I hung up and quietly sneaked into his house.
The house had a huge corridor with many doors… But he wasn’t in any of the rooms.
“Shit, he’s probably not here or hiding somewhere.”
I finally reached the last stop after the corridor, and the man was in the kitchen, probably doing his late dinner.
“He’s with a knife… This will be hard I bet.”
I rapidly flashed behind the man and took the knife off his hand, throwing it away.
– Who the hell are you?! Get the fuck away from me! – The man was pissed off.
Somehow he kicked me off, dodging my powers.
“Tch– I underestimated him… After all, he’s a serial killer.”
I couldn’t let my guard down. If he was a murderer he was surely strong.
– Aren’t you gonna answer, you masked little shit?!
– Hmph. – I smirked under the mask. – Sometimes it’s good to taste our own medicine… It’s your turn now.
– Oh really? – He walked towards me. – And how am I supposed to believe a little freak like you, who can’t even show his face, is going to defeat me? After all, you’re just like me, aren’t you? If this Goddess had sent you to murder me, you wouldn’t care about showing your face.
I could really see in his eyes how psychopath this man was.
– You’re right. Maybe I wasn’t sent by the Goddess… But you’re wrong about something… – Since I was going to murder him anyways, I decided to take off my mask to make him happy. – I don’t murder people out of fun… – I took off my mask, revealing my identity.
The man seemed to be surprised… I guess he didn’t imagine me to be a woman.
– I kill people whose greed angers me. – I grabbed him by the collar, looking straight into his maniac eyes. – And you’re one of them…!
Lightning started to emerge from my hands, starting to rip off his neck flesh.
– Argh…! You little piece of shit. – He grabbed me by the neck, trying to choke me. He was smirking like a total psycho. – You have quite the guts to do such a thing, fragile woman!
“Fragile? Pfft.”
I took the knife out of my pocket, and I swung my body forward using my foot’s impulse on the wall.
I could now reach his neck and slit his throat open.
He backed away, falling over the table in agonising pain, trying to scream.
– You– fucking bitch…! – He couldn’t even properly speak.
– Ah… I’m not finished yet, so don’t you dare die already…! – I let out my powers once again, dwelling my electrocuting hand over his chest area, executing him.
After a few seconds, his life had already been taken away.
“It wasn’t as hard as I expected…” I cleaned up the knife and put it back in the pocket. “Although I still needed to use this.”
– Anyways… It’s time to leave my mark… – I put the usual famous note next to his body, along with the lily flower. – And a present.
“I hope you don’t accept it… Because if this doesn’t work, I’m beyond screwed up.”
– I wonder what’s going to be the look on your face tomorrow.
