The trio opened the door to see a short man standing behind it. The man had large rock-like fists with gray skin and no hair, “Calm down Richard, I told you not to disturb me!” Emerald told the short man, clearly annoyed at the man banging on the door. “I'm sorry ma'am I know what you told me but you did say to notify you if either of the two gangs started to move.” Richard panted, sweat trickling down his cheek. “Emerald, what's he talking about?” Alister asked, to which Emerald just laughed and quickly walked off, dragging Richard by his scruff.
Alister looked at Maple who quickly looked away, this telling Alister that they were hiding something serious. “Look if neither of yall wanna tell me what's going on, that's fine but I'm headed to bed.” Alister said annoyed as he slammed his garage door. He let out a sigh as he walked through the connecting door to his house and collapsed on the bed. The familiarity of Alisters dream was all too real. Floating on a black abyss like ocean, staring up at the stars shining brightly above him in the night sky. Reaching up his hand to the sky, Alister wondered why he can never seem to touch the stars, and that's when he awoke.
Alister felt something heavy laying on him, a large lump that rose up and down slowly. Alister pulled back the blanket and an orange light filled the room, a woman laying on top of him asleep. Her orange skin glowed warmly lighting up the room, her skin decorated with blue electric like patterns only broken by a marking of a snowflake on her left arm. Her violet hair lay in loose strands covering her body. “Tesla wake up I need you off me” Alister said, nudging her in an attempt to wake her, only to get a response of five more minutes and her rolling off him.
Alister rolled his eyes, his emotionless face not showing signs of caring as he got up and headed to the bathroom. Alister stood in the shower with the water running over him, the scars from his fall a painful reminder of his carelessness. After showing, Alister walked out of the bathroom seeing that Tesla had left the bed. “Emerald must not like that Tesla has been sleeping here whenever she sees me home.” Alister thought to himself, grabbing a bowl of cereal and walking into his workshop. There Tesla was dressed in overalls and a tank top with large metal gloves covering her hands, a faint hum could be heard from them. Tesla turned grinning and pulled her work goggles onto her forehead as she said, “So, when were you gonna tell me about this special little project you were working on!.”
