Chapter Four: Beneath the Golden Light Lies Rot
Anyway, if I truly have been transported into the world of the novel I was reading before my transmigration, then my first goal will be to eliminate both the golden lion and the six-eared monkey, and then to kill the protagonist, William.
In the novel, the reason for the red dragon’s presence in the forest was explained. As mentioned, when William ascended to a higher realm thanks to the dragon aura emitted from the bloodline he had acquired, he was captured by the dragon forces—followers of the Golden Dragon King—and then taken to the king’s palace by direct order.
When the Golden Dragon King met William, he carefully examined him. After confirming that he was merely a human who had acquired a dragon bloodline, the Golden Dragon King asked William how he had obtained the red dragon bloodline.
William had no reason to lie or hide the truth, so he told him everything.
After learning how William had obtained the bloodline, the Golden Dragon King was convinced he was not lying. He told him that the crimson dragon whose bloodline he had acquired was the heir of the Crimson Dragon Clan, and that if that clan learned that William had killed their heir and taken his bloodline, they would hunt him down and kill him in revenge.
After that, the Golden Dragon King offered him a place in his palace to become one of the dragon leaders. He then gave him a special tool capable of concealing the aura of Adam’s bloodline. With this tool, the Crimson Dragon Clan would not be able to detect his affiliation with the red dragon bloodline.
He then told William that he had wanted to limit the growth of the Crimson Dragon Clan, and so had orchestrated a plot to kill their heir while he was still in his mother’s womb.
But his plan failed because the wife of the Crimson Dragon Clan’s leader was carrying two eggs in her womb, not just one, so the method he used did not succeed.
But that didn’t matter. He planned to kill both eggs during the moment of their laying—meaning the moment they emerged from the womb of the Crimson Dragon Clan leader’s wife—but the person he sent to carry out the mission failed to do so.
That person made a mistake in using his spell because he was terrified by the deathly aura emitted by the leader of the Crimson Dragon Clan.
He used a teleportation spell, through which the two eggs were transported randomly. He searched for them all over the world, in other realms and mortal worlds, but he couldn’t find them.
The Crimson Dragon Clan also couldn’t find them, and for some unknown reason, they couldn’t sense the aura of their heir’s bloodline.
They couldn’t ask the person responsible for where the two eggs were transported, because he had died under the claw of the Crimson Dragon Clan leader—the Red Dragon King.
Well, I know this from reading the novel—the reason they couldn’t find him or sense the bloodline. And the reason is that the world to which the two eggs were transported was a sealed world. This seal allows people to enter the world, but it prevents anyone from leaving or sensing anything inside the world, including the people and treasures within it.
In the novel, it was explained that this world is known as the “Ancient Tomb World.” There is a legend in the higher realms that says this world contains all kinds of ancient treasures, in addition to many old tombs from the era of the emperors. And whoever finds this world will be able to change their fate and open a new era.
In the novel, William obtained many ancient treasures before ascending to a higher realm, among them the World Bead, which existed during the Chaos Era.
It is said that it appeared at the beginning of the Chaos Era, and that is why that period was named the Chaos Era. The World Bead possesses a terrifying power.
The World Bead was explained in more detail in the novel.
William found it in one of the ancient tombs, and thanks to it, he was able to stand at the peak of power in this world.
The World Bead is considered a true cheat that only the protagonist enjoys.
The World Bead, or the World Pearl, contains a small, independent world within it.
The bead’s user can store anything in this world, including living beings.
As for time in this world, it flows the same as in the outside world.
The pearl possesses the ability to create its own temporal space called the “Broken World,” which is governed by an almost completely independent time law.
One day outside equals one year in this Broken World.
But this ability is not infinite, for in order to maintain the temporal space, the Chaos Bead requires a tremendous amount of energy.
In the novel, William never returned to this world after his ascension, even though he broke the seal that had been placed on it, which led to its discovery by other realms—whether higher or middle realms. They all came to this world in search of opportunities to change their fate.
This caused the slaughter and displacement of many of the world’s inhabitants, and some were turned into slaves—including those who helped William when he was on the verge of death. Even William’s friends did not escape this unfortunate fate.
After William learned what had happened to them, he did nothing and didn’t repay their kindness.
He completely ignored the situation.
This is one of the reasons I hated William so much. He is a person without emotions. All he thinks about is his wife and how he wants to return to her. Throughout the novel, he kept rambling about that, even when he met many women who were more beautiful than her.
His behavior was pathetic. How could someone be so emotionally weak and selfish? Even after obtaining the greatest treasures and surpassing limits of power no one had ever dreamed of, he remained obsessed with a single woman—forgetting all those who had helped him, sacrificed for him, and died for his sake.
He could have saved them… if he had only wanted to.
He had the support of the Golden Dragon King, yet he chose to turn his back.
He had the right to be selfish, but he had no right to ignore those who had sacrificed for him.
