The amount of fun I had with this chapter cannot be overstated. This Asajima bloke is honestly a treat, but your expression work and comedic timing was simply on point this chapter. Beyond the general artistical improvements that obvious come with time, the paneling, expressions, everything was on point here. Just well done.
A long time ago, the Gods of the world were worshipped by their followers; however, the God of fire, Ignis was worshipped and feared by most of humanity. As a solution to prevent the jealousy of her siblings, she presented the idea of combining their forms into one perfect being to be worshipped by all; however, upon formation, the newfound God's form and powers were unstable. As a last act of grace before their imminent demise, the Gods cast what is known as "The Yoen", pieces of themselves and their eternal essence, into their respective followers to be continuously passed down forever.
Yūrei follows the lives of Risa Aoki, an incredibly powerful Yoen Holder, and Daigo Uchikatsu, a high school student who possesses extreme fighting prowess, as they attempt to defend the city of Korai from the Kasai Gang and other foes.
