[After Departing the Beastkin Capital]
The group turned eastward—toward the Elven Kingdom of Avelus, home to one of the last seven witches.
Iris: “There’s no shortcut this time. The light circle can’t reach that deep into the elven lands. We’ll fly instead. Focus your miasa. Wrap the wind around your body like armor—it will keep you in the air.”
Satori: “Flying? Wait, like… actually flying?”
Iris: “You’ll get used to it. Bring Athen. She’ll ride with you.”
With a surge of power, wind magic lifted them into the sky, and they soared through the clouds. The journey to Avelus took three days—long, cold, and silent… until the ambush.
[Third Day – Nearing Elven Territory]
A black orb appeared without warning in the sky.
Satori: “What is that?!”
Suddenly, dark magic missiles rained down from the clouds. A cloaked figure hovered above them, unleashing dozens of deadly spells.
Iris: “Enemy mage! Prepare yourselves!”
Satori: “Wind barrier—now!”
He barely formed the shield in time before the first volley of dark missiles exploded against it.
Dorothy: “Iron Wall!”
Her defensive spell absorbed the second wave.
Cathy: “Light Scatter—nullify the darkness!”
Brilliant beams of holy light shot upward, shattering the enemy’s dark bullets midair.
Hooded Mage: “So… the witches have awakened. But you will go no farther. Witch Adel must die.”
Suddenly, ten more dark mages emerged from a veil of shadows, encircling them.
Iris: “Formation—everyone inside!”
She summoned a protective dome, but even her magic strained against their attacks.
Dark Mage: “Witches are strong. But can you withstand all of us?”
Satori: “No. But maybe you can’t withstand me.”
He raised his hand, summoning lightning that coiled into a serpent, then a dragon, roaring through the sky before crashing down on the lead mage, slamming him into the earth.
Hooded Mage: “Grrgh… Impressive. Then we fight—seriously.”
All ten mages attacked at once.
Iris: “Athen! Fly now!”
With a predatory glare, Athen launched forward, her small frame blurring through the air. Her fist cracked one enemy’s mask clean off, slicing his arm as she passed.
Athen: “You’re not the only one with fangs.”
Black Mage: “So be it. I will slay a witch this time!”
Before he could strike, a new presence emerged—an elven warrior cloaked in dark magic, stepping from the shadows.
Dark Elf Mage: “Avelus belongs to the strong now. Your era is over!”
The sky darkened, storming with corrupted magic as endless waves of power crashed down upon them.
Iris: “We’ve used too much miasa… The barrier won’t hold!”
Satori: “No. It’s my turn now.”
As the storm closed in, time seemed to freeze around Satori. A whisper echoed in his mind.
Mysterious Voice: “Do you wish to save those dear to you? Will you accept my power?”
Satori: “Anything… anything that brings me home.”
Suddenly, a torrent of miasa swirled around him. His eyes glowed silver-blue, and lightning danced in his veins.
Cathy: “That power… Lady Adel? No—it’s him. It’s Satori!”
A flash of divine darkness erupted. In the blink of an eye, Satori annihilated the dark mages, crushing their spells, breaking their bones, and driving them into the ground.
Surviving Mage: “Please—spare me! I’ll talk! I’ll talk!”
Satori (coldly): “Then start. Who sent you? What’s happening in Avelus?”
Mage: “The demons… they’ve already reached the elven court! Some elves accepted their power—it’s civil war! We were ordered to stop you!”
Satori’s gaze hardened.
Satori: “You took their power. Now take the price.”
Cathy cast a light curse, severing the mage’s corrupt pact. He screamed—and his body vanished into ash.
[Avelus – Hidden Glade Outside the Capital]
Hours later, they arrived—exhausted, but alive.
A figure veiled in moonlight stood before them, her presence calm and ageless.
Adel (Satori’s voice): “You made it. And you brought him… the one who awakened.”
Iris: “We came for your help. But we’ll help Avelus, too. In exchange… form an alliance with us.”
Adel nodded solemnly.
Adel (Satori): “The last elven war ended 3,000 years ago. But history repeats… unless someone stands in the way.”
And so, with Adel’s help, they turned toward a new battle—not just against demons, but to save a kingdom tearing itself apart.
The battlefield quieted, littered with defeated enemies. Yet something strange was happening.
Satori floated in midair, surrounded by violet mist and electric sparks. His eyes glowed—one silver, one violet. His voice echoed as if two souls spoke at once.
Satori: “So much blood again… Just like before. How long have I slept?”
Cathy (staring in disbelief): “That’s not just Satori…”
Iris (whispering): “Adel… You’re awake.”
Satori collapsed, gasping for breath. Iris rushed to his side, torn between relief and fear.
Satori: “What… what did I just do? That wasn’t me… That wasn’t me…”
Iris: “No. It was you. You are Adel, Satori. The last witch... and the first.”
Satori’s eyes widened.
Satori: “But… I’m not her. I didn’t choose this. I don’t remember any of it.”
Iris: “Your memories were sealed after the War of Extinction—to protect you. To give you a chance to live as a human.”
Satori shook his head, overwhelmed.
Satori: “First, I wake up in a world of magic… now, I’m supposed to save it? This feels like some cliché novel… But fine. My condition stays the same—I help you, and then I go home.”
