The skies above Avernus darkened, cloaked in a crimson haze.

The once-vibrant elven city—known as the Pillar of Life—now trembled beneath the footsteps of war. Elven warriors and mages filled the stone streets, gathered around their sacred purpose:

To protect Yggdrasil—the Tree of Life—from the oncoming demon horde.

From a high balcony, Satori stood with his cloak billowing behind him.

“This city...” he whispered. “It’s going to be ruined.”

Sasha stood at his side. “You’re thinking too far ahead again.”

Satori said nothing, his eyes locked on the towering silver tree in the city’s heart. Its radiant roots shimmered with life.

“That tree… it’s not just a symbol,” he finally said. “It’s the lifeblood of the forest. If Yggdrasil falls, the elves will lose their soul.”

⚔️ The Enemy Arrives

Scouts flew in on wind-walkers, breathless.

“The demon army approaches—less than a league away! They’ve brought siege beasts and blood mages!”

The Elven King raised his voice.

“Hold the gates! Protect the sacred tree! Let no demon pass!”

Athena tightened the straps on her armor beside Satori.

“We need to act now. If they breach the gates, they’ll go for the roots.”

Sasha nodded.

“Cathy and Dorothy are defending the north. We’ll hold the west.”

The horns of Avernus howled.

From the shadows of the forest, grotesque monsters surged—skin melting, eyes glowing, blades soaked in corruption.

“Archers! Mages! FIRE!” the general commanded.

A volley of arrows and elemental blasts rained down—flames, ice, and light cutting through the first line.

But the demons kept coming.

“They’re not stopping!” Cathy shouted through the crystal communicator. “Their commander is feeding them miasa!”

🌲 The Battle for the Tree

The ground quaked.

A siege beast—twenty feet tall, covered in molten iron—smashed through the outer gates.

Satori and Athena met it head-on.

“Athena, now!”
“Light Sync!”

Their magic merged.

Satori’s body pulsed with divine energy, radiant markings glowing along his arms. He darted forward like a bolt of lightning.

“For Yggdrasil!”

He drove a holy spear into the demon’s skull. The beast collapsed.

But victory was short-lived.

☠️ The Demon Lord Appears

From the darkness, he emerged—the Demon Lord, clad in cursed armor, wielding a blade forged from broken starlight.

The air bent around him.

“That’s him,” Sasha murmured. “The one who commands them all.”

“Then we end this here,” Satori said, stepping forward.

Ancient runes ignited beneath him.

“Awaken, Adel,” a voice whispered.

Light exploded from his chest. His golden eyes returned. His aura surged.

“The Witch of Light…” the Elven King whispered. “She has returned.”

The Demon Lord raised his hand.

“All forces—attack.”

A second siege beast shattered the inner gate. A thousand arrows followed, cutting through both air and life.

The smell of blood filled the air. Elven bodies collapsed—some torn in half, others burned alive.

Satori's breath caught. He couldn’t bear it.

“NO MORE!”

He cast a wave of blinding light—driving back nearby demons.

From across the battlefield, a demon general pointed at him.

“That’s her! Adel! The Witch of Light has returned!”

“So,” the Demon Lord growled, “our reunion begins now.”

Sasha turned to Iris.

“We need time to shield the Tree.”

“Dorothy, Cathy—draw their attention!”

The witches nodded. Together, Sasha and Iris raised a shimmering wall of holy light around Yggdrasil.

“O’ lord above,” Sasha whispered, “lend me a fragment of your strength to protect the weak.”

A cyclone of water and holy wind surged, sweeping away entire squads of demons.

The Demon Lord narrowed his eyes.

“Send the ogres. Break the barrier. Cut the roots.”

Dozens of twisted ogres, wielding blood-stained axes, charged for the tree.

Athena fought furiously, her blade a blur of light and metal.

Satori trembled.

“Why… can’t I do more? Why am I still so powerless?!”

He let out a cry and cast lightning—ripping apart entire demon squads in a burst of thunder and smoke.

But the dead rose again—twisted by dark magic—fighting as undead soldiers.

“They don’t stop…” he whispered.

🛡️ The Barrier Falls

Sasha and Iris held the line—light shields blocking blow after blow. But their strength was waning.

“This barrier... is it a miracle?” Satori gasped.

Demons couldn’t enter. Every strike bounced off the glowing dome.

The Demon Lord spoke.

“Bring the Elven Queen.”

A captured woman was dragged before the barrier.

“Surrender. Or I take her head.”

The Elven King’s hands trembled. “If the barrier falls… everyone dies.”

“So be it,” the Demon Lord said.

A blood mage raised a crimson staff and fired a spell of decay.

The barrier shattered.

Arrows flew. Blades clashed.

Pain seared Satori’s side as arrows pierced his skin.

“It hurts… but I won’t fall.”

Yggdrasil’s roots were exposed.

A demon knight raised his sword—and struck.

The sacred tree screamed.

Light bled from its bark. The forest cried with it.

“This… is the end,” Sasha whispered.

Sasha turned to the others.

“We can’t win here. Not today. We have to escape.”

She etched a teleport glyph into the ground.

“Dorothy! Satori! Athena! Now!”

“But Sasha—!” Satori cried.

“GO!”

In a blinding flash—

They vanished.

Satori's voice echoed as they disappeared from the battlefield.
