Planting the armor down, the layer of black which covered him dissipated into thin air, at the end only a few white sparks remained before the only sign of Yoru's usage of Impulse was the broken armor dug into the floor.
He slowly and cautiously followed the trail a blood before stopping suddenly. Seeing the sight in front of him, Yoru had only one thought in his mind for a moment.
'So that's why she... had a reaction like that...' He thought as he too barely held back the bile which involuntarily piled up and looked away from the sight.
It was a man's body. Separated into two. The head lying almost two meters away from the main body.
The clothes which covered his body were crusty, smeared in red. There were no signs of any attacks on the body, anywhere. Which made it even more strange that the body have so much blood on it.
'Somebody else's blood?' He sighed frustratedly as he rubbed his temples. 'This is going be a pain...'
'Even if the head is removed, how would so much blood even drip down...' He studied the body closely. There was something strange however, it seemed that Yoru could not dare to turn and look at the head of the man.
He just couldn't look at the head which could barely even be called a head.
Maggots squirmed on it. The left half of it was only flesh, the skull was broken into pieces and laid, stuck inside the brain.
There were a dozen mosquitos feasting on what was left of the man.
After a few seconds he quickly moved out and made his way towards the old lady. Telling her that he was going to get equipment from his car, he left and went outside.
"HAH." He consecutively took deep breaths with wide, diluted eyes. 'What the hell... even killed him like that?!' He cursed the murderer in his mind as he slowly calmed down.
He strolled around the car for a while, lost deep in thoughts. 'Should I call Haori? Maybe she can help... Or, maybe Raphael? But he's busy teaching Ryo, and Xianye is gone to investigate another missing-items case...'
Thud!
He lightly hit the bonnet of the car before deciding to go back in.
"Ma'am, do you have a pair of gloves? I forgot pack mine..." He asked, laughing self-deprecatingly.
"Gloves... Uh..." The lady muttered to herself, thinking, before replying back, "N- No. I don't think I do."
"W- What do we do now?!" She asked, her trembling and moist eyes fixed onto Yoru.
'Do I...' He thought for a while came to the only 'solution' possible at the moment.
It was to go back and ask for help!
He quickly walked back towards the body with his phone out and clicked the pictures of the entire room, along with close-up pictures of the body and head.
He walked back out, told the woman that he'll be back and she shouldn't go past the planted armor which marked the beginning area of the investigation.
Vroom! Vroom! Vroom! He quickly fled back towards Squad 8 Headquarters.

"I suppose these rights are quite easy for you to absorb as information, yes?" Raphael studied Ryo for a while and continued, "I'll just state the rest of the rights, I assume that you'd be able to know what they are."
Ryo nodded submissively.
"Very well then, the third right of a soldier is, Right to Compensation. The fourth right of a soldier is, Right to Access Appropriate Equipment. And, finally, the fifth right of a soldier is, Right to Trials, which is also a part of the normal, standard human rights."
Raphael concluded stating the remaining rights of a soldier, allowing Ryo to digest the information and make sense of it.
'What...' His temples tensed as he leaned back and shut his eyes. '...Is that third right. I understand the fourth right and the fifth right for cases when someone is suspected of having committed a violation of law... But, what is the third right...?'
'What if he thinks I'm too dumb...' Ryo sighed self-deprecatingly and asked, "What does the third right mean? It seems... vague. What kind of compensation is it talking about?"
Raphael laughed elegantly and replied, elaborating further, "The third right, the Right to Compensation, refers to extra payment."
"Everybody gets an appropriate amount of payment. In case the deployment or mission had additional risk or additional, unknown and unforeseen variables, one can ask for extra payment."
"Of course, the payment cannot be too much."
"The maximum one has ever gotten from this right is around, two-hundred thousand Aleds."
Ryo thought for a while and asked, "But, how exactly is this 'compensation' even decided?"
"Well, it depends on the Commander of the area and- " Before he could finish a generic ringing sound echoed inside.
It was Raphael's phone.
He quickly cut off the call and continued. "It depends on the Commander of the area, and, or, the law."
"In most cases, the law decided how much they get paid. Each mission difficulty variable has a suitable price tag on it. In other cases, some Commanders decide to provide compensation by themselves as well."
"However, of course, even for that, an appropriate limit has been set." He explained.
'An appropriate limit... So basically getting that two-hundred thousand Aleds compensation is near impossible and most compensations are probably around... a few hundred Aleds.' He lampooned.
In the meantime, Raphael got up and walked up towards the door. "We will be concluding our class here for today. As for what class you'll have tomorrow, that'll be up to Xianye to decide."
"When he does, we'll inform you." He said as he checked his phone and left.
Thud!

Vroom! Xianye made his way towards where another missing-items case had taken place.
After a series of turns he stopped in front of another apartment building.
He parked his bike and stood in front of the iron gates. "I'm Xianye, the Squad Leader of Squad 8. I'm here for the missing items case that was filed from here."
Xianye only needed to say the very first sentence. As, even before he had stated his purpose of entering the building, the gates had already been laid bare open.
The voice of the security personnel came from the intercom, accompanied with static noises she said, "Welcome in, Squad Leader Xianye! The apartment you're looking for is in the first wing!"
Xianye smiled and nodded, walking towards the elevator.
