After a long travel, the Garuda arrives at Avion. Ava wakes up and pours a cup of coffee. From the driver’s seat of the Garuda, Ava sees the Avian home world from behind the window. Soon, Lucian also wakes up and take a good look at the planet. Lucian can’t help but be amazed by seeing Avion from orbit.

“So, this a Avion! I never thought I would actually see it!” Says Lucian, excited to explore the planet.

“And as a bonus, our next Tournament is there. It’s called the Raptorus City mech league. It’s the city’s signature Tournament.” Says Ava as she pulls up a poster for the Tournament on screen.

Suddenly, Lucian and Ava hear a loud bang coming from the docking bay. Sensing that something is wrong, they hurry over to check on Fenrir and Valkyrie. By the time they get there, the docking bay is a complete mess with supplies all over the floor and dents on the walls. They immediately notice that Valkyrie is moving around completely on her own. Fenrir desperately tries to calm Valkyrie down only to be slashed in the face by her talons.

“Woah! Calm down will you! You’re going to tear a hole in this ship!” Fenrir says, trying to get through to Valkyrie.

“Fenrir, what’s going on? What happened?!” Asks Lucian.

“Well as you can tell, Valkyrie had become self-aware and is not taking it well.” Says Fenrir.

As Lucian and Fenrir try to calm down Valkyrie, Ava was still trying to process what was happening. Not just was Fenrir sentient but so was Valkyrie. That’s when Valkyrie notices Ava and stops flying around. She approaches the Avian and immediately recognizes Ava as her driver. Ava reaches out and lays her hand on Valkyrie.

“Valkyrie. You’re sentient. You’re alive.” Says Ava, her hand on Valkyries head.

“I know. But I don’t know how. I just woke up and became aware of what I am.” says Valkyrie, still processing her existence.

“I’ll try to explain everything but not without an explanation from Lucian.” Says Ava as she looks towards Lucian.

Lucian tries his best to explain the situation to Ava and Valkyrie. He explains how he met Fenrir and how he repaired the timber wolf. Ava struggles to process what Lucian is telling her. Not only did Lucian knew of Fenrir’s sentience but also knew the risks of taking such an experimental mech in.

“So, let me get this straight. Not only did you find a fully sentience mech, but you never thought that such mech would put a target on your back.” Says Ava.

“Pretty much. I couldn’t just leave him there. If I didn’t find Fenrir, who knows what might have happened to him.” Says Lucian as he looks towards Fenrir.

“At least you’re honest. But from here on out, don’t keep anymore secrets.” Says Ava as she looks at Valkyrie.

“Now for my next question, how did Fenrir become sentience? You think might also by why Valkyrie be self-aware?” Asks Ava.

“You got me there. Whatever gave Fenrir his sentience must have also transferred to Valkyrie. So now we have two fully conscious mechs.” Say Lucian.

Afterwards, Lucian and Ava leave the docking bay to discuss the plan for the tournament. Fenrir and Valkyrie watch their drivers leave before starting a proper conversation. Valkyrie is still getting used to being self-aware. Fenrir approaches Valkyrie with his head low to the ground, letting her know he is not a threat. After introducing each other, Valkyrie apologizes for freaking out earlier.

“Hey um sorry about earlier Fenrir.” Says Valkyrie.

“No need to apologize. I probably would’ve reacted the same way.” Says Fenrir trying to be polite.

“I take it being sentient was difficult for you too?” Asks Valkyrie.

“Yeah. Ended up injuring myself in the process.” Replied Fenrir.

Suddenly, the two of them are interrupted by Ava as she explains their next destination. Valkyrie can’t help but wonder if there are other mechs like herself and Fenrir. Before she could continue wondering, Valkyrie is informed to keep a low profile.

“Say Fenrir. Do you thing there are other mechs like us? Ones that are self-aware I mean?” Asks Valkyrie, turning her head like an owl in the process.

“I doubt it. It seems like we are a new occurrence. A mech that is sentient is pretty much unheard of to the Organics. But who’s to say.” Says Fenrir.

“Looks we’re going to have to keep this secret until then. In the meantime, I expect you to put up a fight in the tournament. I look forward to a potential rematch.” Says Valkyrie, confidently.

“In that case, you’re on! I’ve defeated you before. I can do it again.” Says Fenrir.

As the Team prepares for the tournament, the Garuda arrives at the planet Avion just as the Raptorus City mech league announces the start of the official tournament. Little do they know, they won’t be the only competitors at the tournament.
