“Father there is someone I owe my life to. If I may I wish to introduce him to you, if not for him; I would not have returned home alive.” Kai gives a bow.

         “Please reveal the brave soul who saved the life of my eldest son.” Hayden says.

Kai waves over the young man standing by the stairs. He makes his way over to the king he stands next to Kai. He kneels before the king.

         “Pleas rise and tell me your name.”

         “Please call me Myreal your highness.” He says as he stands up.

         “Is there anything you would like Myreal; even though I feel that nothing could equal up to you courageously saving my son’s life?”

         “Your highness I was only hoping I could become a personal servant to prince Kai. That is if he accepts me to serve him.” Myreal says with another bow.

         “What do you think of his offer my son?” Hayden says as he looks to Kai.

         “I think that having someone to watch my back might be good for me. We of course don’t know what Asriel could be planning.”

         “Very well, now let’s enjoy this beautiful banquet; let the festivities begin.”

At the king’s words music fills the room.

         “Lady Luna would you allow me the honor of a dance with you?” Remigen asks as he holds a flower out to her.

         “Is that an Iris?” she looks up at him.

         “Indeed, it is, will you accept it?”

         “Happily,” She smiles.

He place’s it next to the orchid in her hair. Then he takes her hand leading her onto the dance floor.

         “Hello Flora, I know we haven’t had much of any type of conversation together, but I think you are uniquely beautiful extremely sweet… I was hoping we could…” Nellen shyly starts to talk.

         “Are you trying to ask me to dance with you? Flora asks cheerfully.

Surprised he looks up at her clearly nervously and blushing he puts his hand onto his head.

         “Well, if you are my answer is yes.” She smiles at him.

         “Oh ok; I see… Wait you actually said yes.”

         “Nellen you are too cute for your own good. Let’s go dance.” She smiles happily taking his hand they disappear into the crowd.

         “Uh oh look at Maxen; he has no clue on what to do.” Specura says as she chuckles.

         “He’s surrounded by a lot of beautiful women; he’s probably never seen that many at one time before.” Argo says as he lets out a chuckle.

         “He was always popular with the women back in our village.” Spanx says.

Syi walks over to him and takes his hand she leads him into the crowd.

         “That was a brave move Syi.” Spanx smiles to herself.

         “Argo would you like to dance with me?” Specura asks holding out her hand to him.

         “Sure, but shouldn’t I have been the one to ask you to dance?” Argo takes her hand and laughing they mix into the dancing crowd as well.

         “Rexen!” Zora calls out.

         “What’s up Zora?” he asks as she walks up to him.

         “Could we share a dance… as friends or even as fellow guards?” her cheeks pink as she asks.

Noticing Rexen looking around Spanx smiles at him and node her head to get him to accept the dance.

         “Sure, one dance as friend’s sounds fun.” He says and they make their way to the dance floor.

         “Best moment ever.” Zora says as they begin to dance.

         “I wonder what they prepared at the food tables.” Spanx turns and then bumps into someone. Then she trips on the hem of the dress; she closes her eyes bracing to hit the floor. When she doesn’t she opens her eyes slowly she looks up to see the person who has caught her when their eyes meet Spanx feels like she knows him from somewhere else.

         “Can it, really be you?” said so softly it almost goes unheard. Myreal looks at her.

         “I’m sorry?” she asks.

         “Are you ok? Oh, it’s you the one from the corridor.” Prince Kai says as he turns around.

         “I’m deeply sorry I have bumped into twice today Prince Kai, also to you Myreal I’m sorry to inconvenience you. Also thank you for catching me, if the two of you would please excuse me.” On her feet, again she goes to leave but she’s stopped by Zain.

         “Prince Zain.” She looks up at him with surprise.

         “Spanx is my brother bothering you?” he asks as he stares at Kai.

         “Oh um, no I feel I may be the one who is bothering him, I was just leaving though…”

         “Well, it’s been a pleasure to meet you Lady Spanx; you have an incredibly beautiful name. Would you honor me a dance with you?” Kai asks as he goes to hold out his hand to her.

         “Well, I…”

         “She cannot dance with you.” Zain says as he takes her hand into his.

She pulls her hand away.

         “I don’t mean to be speaking out of my place being that you are a prince, but I do not need anyone to make decisions for me.”

She then turns to Kai.

         “I will happily share a dance with you Prince Kai.” She says while giving a bow.

Kai takes Spanx hand; they start dancing leaving behind a shocked Zain.

         “Pull to hard and they pull away; don’t pull hard enough and they’ll pull away. Love is a very tricky thing to figure out Prince Zain.” Myreal says while watching Kai and Spanx dance.

         “You speak as if you know firsthand how this feels yet you are no older than I. are you really who you say?” Zain shoots a glare towards Myreal.

         “I only say this because someone who is close to me had something similar to what’s happening to you happen to them.” Myreal says as his eyes follow the dancing crowd.

Zain doesn’t give a reply he just watches as Spanx dances with Kai.

         “So, may I ask why you chose to use a black rose for your hair ordainment? Don’t they symbolize death?” Kai asks as he looks at her hair.

         “To be honest that’s only one of the symbolizations for the black rose, they also symbolize rebirth or a new beginning, but a friend of mine said that my heart chose the flowers color. So, I can’t be too sure myself.

         “I think I can understand why my brother is fond of you.” Kai says as he smiles.

         “What do you mean Prince Kai?” she looks at him.

         “I’m sure you have heard the many rumors that follow Zain, but you see you’re not only a pretty face; you are smart and as for what I’ve seen for myself tonight. Along with what I’ve heard about you on returning to the castle; you are brave and strong you care about the people within the castle no matter what their status. I must admit that I do find your straightforwardness attractive too.” Kai Then twirls her twice as he pulls her into him then dips her.

         “I really don’t know what to say in reply to a compliment like that.” She looks right into his eyes.

         “May I ask to have your company for a little while longer?” he asks as the dance comes to an end.
