Not a twitch. Not even one of those polite, forced expressions people give when they’re trying not to look bored.
She just ate, eyes on her plate like the table chatter was a passing breeze.
Jayce leaned back in his chair, arms folded.
She wasn’t what he expected — not flashy, not clingy, not soft.
“Too quiet,” he thought. “Not Reian’s type. Then again, maybe that’s why he chose her.”
Reian had said, “I signed a paper. She wore the ring.”
Jayce smirked to himself.
> “Yeah, yeah. Sounds cool, but no one just ends up married like that. He must’ve felt something.”

Jayce’s Wife (Elia)
“She didn’t even introduce herself,” Elia said later that night, fluffing a throw pillow with more force than necessary.
“Not even a hi or nice to meet you. And the way she sat there like she was better than everyone else—”
“She didn’t say anything,” Jayce muttered.
“She didn’t have to. It was all over her face,” Elia huffed. “Mark my words, she’s either hiding something or looking for something.”

Kairo’s POV
From the far end of the table, Kairo watched Reian.
He wasn’t exactly distant — Reian was always distant — but there was a kind of calculated calm in him that wasn’t normal. Not for a first dinner with your wife.
And the wife? Composed. Controlled. Almost too much.
She didn’t play along, didn’t panic, didn’t try to soften the tension.
Kairo didn’t say anything to the others. He just took note of it.
Something about her reminded him of a fuse before it lights — completely still, but undeniably wired.

Raze’s POV
“She didn’t blink the whole time,” Raze muttered to Kairo after dinner.
“You’re exaggerating.”
“I’m not! Bro, I was sitting across from her. Like a statue. Total spy wife. Watch, she’s probably an undercover agent.”
Kairo just walked away.

Zion’s Wife (Mina)
Mina leaned into the bedroom mirror and whispered to her phone.
“I think she’s broke. No brand names, no makeup worth anything, not even a designer handbag. But she sits there like she owns the table? Yeah, right.”

Upstairs – Reian & Soraya’s Room
Reian closed the door softly behind them.
Soraya was already taking off her shoes, her movements quiet, unbothered.
He watched her for a few seconds, then said flatly—
In the country of Daelin, a new law requires every unmarried adult over thirty to get married—within six months.
Reian Daeyun, lead vocalist of ONIX and national heartthrob, doesn't want a love story, a PR wife, or his agency meddling in his future. So he goes to a pairing bureau and asks for the one thing he thinks is safe: a stranger.
Soraya Martel, a foreign scientist, is barely keeping up with rent and her studies. A marriage on paper sounds like the perfect solution—until she finds herself legally bound to a celebrity she’s never met.
Now forced to share a home, a contract, and a villa with four other married bandmates, Soraya and Reian must navigate cold in-laws, jealous wives, and feelings they swore they’d never have.
This marriage is supposed to be fake. But hearts don't follow contracts.
