Peter lives in a small town where there's nothing to do but get into trouble and be angry at the world.
Charlie is from a wealthy and successful family, but he can't figure out why he feels so inept.
To escape the bad influences he's been falling in with, Peter and his mom find a new home in the coastal town Charlie's family vacations every summer. Charlie is drawn to the brooding newcomer, while Peter has his walls up; Charlie's sunny nature couldn't be further from his own. But the more they are together, the more Peter can see himself in the sides of Charlie he hides from others.
Maybe they aren't so different after all.
