Though Lucien’s class didn’t particularly like him, most of the students were starting to get concerned that he was still gone. However that was only in the back of their mind. For they were focused on their training as heroes and enjoying their time at Castle Emyre. Lucien was not so fortunate.

Regeneration kicked in instantly. A mutilated corpse moments ago, I was now in peak condition as if nothing happened. Not only did regeneration heal me, it also blasted back the nearby monsters. This gave me time to prepare. There wasn’t much to prepare for but I settled on going all out since I could now regenerate.
The monsters who I now saw as demons due to their horns and home, were back on their feet and ready for round two. I took a deep breath before I sped towards them. I knew I wouldn’t be able to do much against the big ones without a weapon. So I settled on taking one from the small ones and dealing with them first.
The short statured demons started to huddle together, but there was a straggler that was too slow. I kicked his jaw upwards as he was unfocused, making the head snap back. Grabbing his spear made of bone I turned to the group of demons, and readied the weapon.
I made sure to keep a distance. Though I still had to hurry if I didn’t want to get attacked by the big demons. The group was clumsy and afraid, I would've felt bad if it weren’t for them having ripped me apart earlier.
As they were stabbing the air, I stepped on one of their spears and stabbed its head. The blood flew into the eyes of its allies. They were taken aback making it the perfect opportunity to get another. However I was also surprised and grossed out, just long enough for one to stab me in the shin. I yelped loudly before thrusting my spear into its chest with one hand.
As I savored my victory I was too caught up to notice the demon sneaking up on me, horizontally cutting me in half. I saw myself fly away from the rest of my body before fading to black. Returning to the void where a new blessing awaited me.
This time I could understand the god clearly.
“I, the god of warfare. Bless you with heightened senses and demonic strength. You are the first among those summoned with you to kill three opponents. In the Underworld no less. I look forward to your ensuing war, Survivor of Hell.”
As I came to, my body had reattached itself. I stood up before instinctively dodging a sneak attack. As I spun around to counter I pulled back my spear before flinging it through the demon.
I was speechless but made sure not to waste time again. Picking up my ambushers sword I turned to see a horde of demons facing me. I sighed upon the realization that this was going to take awhile.
One foot in front of the other I ran full speed towards the demons. Hacking and slashing blood sprayed on me as well as my attackers. The demonic strength I had been granted truly was a blessing. I continued mowing through the demons ahead. Slicing through necks, limbs, torsos. Blocking blows and wiping blood from my eyes. It was Hell, but not only for me.
