After Olga scares Barrett away when he causes trouble once more, she tells a story of how she humiliated him one day in Russia years ago. Before Taylor can decide what to do regarding the mystery of the Wendigo and the Flute, a gunshot rings out, and it is quickly discovered that Mr. O'Reilly's insane brother Dennis has escaped his room. They find him drunk in the dining room, armed with a Walther. Taylor volunteers to try and approach the madman before he can harm himself or anyone else.
