Chapter-3:

A confusing person.

Erilen dashes through the forest, while beasts chase him down, as he cries out for help.

“Anyone?! Can someone help me!!!“ He wails.

He pants, still running but not looking where he is running. He suddenly bumps into a tree, and yelps.

“OW!“ 

The monstrous beasts surround him, predatory like. Erilen flinches, as he cling to the tree.

“Please… I don't wanna die! I only just became an adult! And there's so many things I wanna do!“ He sniffles while saying that.

A sudden arrow appears from the nearby trees, taking down one of the beasts. Erilen's eyes widen. Thinking his call for help has worked. The beasts are now wary as they spread across. 

More arrows come flying, and with precision the arrows take out the remaining beasts. Erilen looks towards the direction, where the arrows were shot. Staring at the tree.

His eyes widen as he sees a girl, with a bow. With blonde mixed with pink hair, and green eyes. Like a punk type teenager. The girl smiles.

“Hey! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one from Earth here. Kinda lame to be stuck with a scaredy cat tho.“ she says, sarcastically.

Erilen gasps, looking down at the girl. Thinking to himself, 'The audacity of this punk! She should be in my situation and run till she's exhausted while beasts are following her!' He glares, with a slight hint of irritation in his voice, he replies.

“You try being followed by beasts! And I'm not a scaredy cat! Anyone would be scared if they didn't have a weapon on them.“

The girl, laughs. Clutching her bow in her hand, it looks handmade… woah.

“I was just joking! My name is, Jessica Katelyn. What about you, Mr. I'm an adult?“

Erilen clenches his fists, the nerve of this teenager. He sighs and replies to her, despite her comment.

“My name is, Erilen Dylan.“

Jessica smiles, shaking his hand. As she turns away and says.

“Well, since we're both alone… why don't we stick together?“

Erilen thinks about it for a moment. 'This girl does have amazing aim. And a weapon too,' he glances down at the bow in Jessica's hand. 'Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to team up with her.' He looks at, Jessica and nods.

“Alright then, let's team up.“

Jessica smiles, looking at, Erilen.

“Great!“

She then leans down towards the beasts she had just killed and takes the arrows she threw out of them. Erilen flinches at the sight, looking away. 

“Why are you doing that?“ He asks, slightly disturbed.

Jessica grins and wipes the blood off of her arrows. Placing it back.

“Well, I need my arrows, and Secondly, wolf and goblin meat tastes amazing you know!“

Erilen's face furrows, disturbed and confused.

“You're telling me… you're going to be eating that?“

Jessica nods, smiling while she replies to, Erilen.

“We're going to be eating this!“

Erilen flinches, what has he gotten himself into with this teenager girl?

Later that night, inside of a cold cave, Erilen twirls a stick around back and fourth to create a fire as he trembles in the cold.

“God… I've never been stuck in another world before… it's so… weird.“ He says, his voice trembling.

He glances at, Jessica who is smiling while chopping up the goblin into pieces. He narrows his eyes.

He stares at, Jessica wondering what could be confusing about her. Jessica catches him staring and grins, teasingly.

“You shouldn't be staring at a teenager, Mr. I am an adult.“ She says teasingly.

Erilen's eye twitches in annoyance, why was he here again?

“Shut up.“ He replies in a sigh.

He stares up at the nightly starry sky, and the multiple realms and worlds in the sky, still colliding. He leans back, getting a fire to work, at last. He wipes away his sweat beads. Jessica also finishes chopping up all the monsters into pieces, that should now be cooked. Erilen shudders as he moves away, while they both talk. Jessica laughing, while Erilen frowns.
