Few months pass by quickly, ever since I had my irregular rut, Reilivon has been avoiding me. And so have I of course. But, still… I don't like this feeling of being ignored… it makes me feel, of how I was as a kid.
The Teacher speaks up, finishing up on the board and writing down 'Exams in 2 weeks' on the board with a chalk.
“Alright students, as you have heard, you all have exams in 2 weeks. I would like for you all to be prepared and…”
I look outside, the words of the teacher going in and out of my ear as I sigh. Not being able to focus. Wei Liu hits my head with a book and I yelp, broken out of my daze.
“What the hell-?!“ I yell, surprised.
Wei Liu raises his eyebrow, looking down at me seating on my seat. And sighs, holding the book in his hand.
“You did hear we have Exams in 2 weeks, right?“ He asks, curious.
I blink a few times, confused as I jolt. Exams?! Jeez, being in a daze sometimes makes you forget important things!
“O-of course I did! I was about to head to the library to study for it anyway.“ I reply, trying to sound confident.
Wen ChenLi chuckles, and says, leaning against my desk.
“Your stuttering, XinLao.“
I flinch, I guess I've been caught huh? I sigh, rubbing the back of my neck.
“I guess… I only heard some.“ I admit, reluctantly.
Wei Liu shakes his head and sighs, looking at me as I sweat.
“C'mon, dude! These are the times you have to pay attention to these details!“
I groan, rubbing the back of my neck sheepishly.
“Sorry… just a lot on my mind.“
Wen ChenLi raises an eyebrow, curious. And also slightly suspicious.
“You've been acting this way since, Reilivon's been ignoring you. What's it been? 4 months? Don't let it get to your head.“
I grunt, remembering Reilivon yet again… what has that bastard done to my mind for me to think of him this much? And we're both alphas too. I should instead be thinking of an omega… like… her… I look at Shixio, as she smiles, talking with her friends. The rumors spread about her liking, Reilivon. (Look at chapter 6 for context) So most of the girls are jealous since she is smart and pretty.
I sigh, leaning back in my seat, as I look down at my books.
“Cant I just study later? I'm not in the mood right now.“
Wen ChenLi sighs, as he looks at me, frowning while I look out the window, not facing them.
“Fine, don't blame us if you don't get good marks.“
Wei Liu and Wen ChenLi leave me alone, God, I feel horrible. I sigh, laying my head on the desk, thinking about that jerk faced bastard.
Tring, Tring, Tring!
The teacher picks up her books, looking back at the class.
“I hope you all get good marks for your exams. Have your lunch.“
She leaves the classroom. Everyone starts forming groups, leaving me alone… since Wei Liu and Wen ChenLi went away. I groan, looking outside. I'm used to being alone anyway… I've been this way. I pause, frowning.
I grit my teeth as I take my books and get up.
“Remembering useless memories won't do me any good. It's all in the damn past now.“ I mutter to myself, my voice gruffy.
I take my bag as I walk out of the classroom and suddenly bump into someone, stumbling back.
“Hey watch where you're-” I pause mid-sentence as I look up at, Reilivon.
Of course, out of all the people I had to bump into, it just had to be this bastard… what is this? A romance novel or something?
“Watch where you're going next time.“
Reilivon looks down at me, and turns away. While he says,
“There won't be a next time, don't worry.“
I freeze at those words, what? I watch him leave. My eyes slightly widening. What did he just say? Why is he being so distant from me? Why is everyone being distant? I'm the problem? Again?
My eyes dart down, not being able to look at anyone as I clench my fists and turn away.
